Hiro was an outstanding tour guide! His deep knowledge of the Gion district and Kyoto made the tour both educational and enjoyable. He was attentive, ready to answer questions, and took care of all the details so that we could relax and enjoy. Hiro’s enthusiasm for sharing his insights was contagious. Although the pace was on the quicker side, it ensured we had the opportunity to take in more sights and experiences. As first-time visitors, we would have likely taken a less efficient route and missed some of the hidden gems Hiro introduced us to. His thoughtful recommendations, including walking us to an excellent ramen restaurant at the end of the tour, added a personal touch that made the experience even more memorable. I highly recommend him for an unforgettable tour experience!

We enjoyed our evening stroll with Hiro last evening. He took us to some beautiful areas and enlightened us to some Japanese customs and traditions. Thank you again, Hiro!

Our Gion night walking tour with Hiro of Hero Trips Japan was really fun and informative. We kept in touch via WhatsApp after our initial booking. Hiro reached out to ask if another couple could join. Absolutely! The perfect small group size. We met in front of Minamza Kabuki theater (where we also ended the tour). We had a great time conversing with Hiro and the couple from Australia. We learned a lot about the area, the Maiko and Geiko history, as well as the beautiful 600 year old pagoda nearby. Hiro kept our interest during the entire tour with his wealth of facts and information. He took photos of us along the tour and sent them to me via WhatsApp. Even though the tour was only an hour and a half long it was one of the best tours of our visit to Kyoto, Japan. We highly recommend Hiro of Hero Tours Japan.

This was a fantastic tour and a great introduction to the Gion district and to Kyoto in general Hiro is a fabulous guide. Very knowledgeable and great company. He also gave us good recommendations for dinner during our stay in Kyoto and even walked us to a place of choice after the tour so we could find our way. Highly recommend this tour in Gion.

We did a private night walk of Gion and the surrounding neighborhoods with Hiro. He was a fabulous. Hiro showed us a wide variety of beautiful interesting sights, temples, shrines and neighborhoods, all the while sprinkling in fun facts and historical information. He took pictures of us throughout the night. He was so lovely and attentive. My husband asked about beer vending machines on the street. Hiro found one and then helped him make the purchase. He even walked us to a fantastic Ramen place at the end. He went above and beyond by helping us get special restaurant reservations. Hiro is a gem and you would be very lucky to do a tour with him. Very reasonably priced for the experience and his English is excellent as well.
