Overview

The crown jewel, multi award-winning and bestseller tour, this is a classic experience one must have when in Lisbon. We start by Sintra, whose cultural landscape is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you’ll have free time to explore the village center with its typical narrow and steep cobblestone streets and outstanding sceneries. The tour heads after to Quinta da Regaleira, and its 4 hectares of lush gardens, lakes, grottoes and enigmatic constructions such as the Iniciatic Well, a true must see. The next stop is the enormous Pena Park, a unique botanic garden with 85 hectares of pure nature easy to fall in love with. After the Sintra visit, the tour takes you through the charming road of the county to the westernmost point of continental Europe, the impressive Cabo da Roca. Last but not least the beachtown of Cascais, former fisherman town, today an elite and chic hotspot, after being a refuge during World War II, where you’ll have free time to stroll around. 2. Sintra Free time to explore the town of Sintra 30 minutes

3. Quinta da Regaleira Discover the magical Quinta da Regaleira. Guided visit included. 1 hour 30 minutes

4. Cabo da Roca The westernmost point in Europe. Explore freely the location for great photo opportunities 20 minutes

5. Cascais Stop at Cascais at its bay area 30 minutes

6. Casino Estoril One of the biggest casino in Europe

It's a good idea to wear tennis shoes or other appropriate footwear for the tour and bring along a bottle of water. In summer bring your sunscreen and in winter it gets very cold so make sure you bring a jacket.
A minimum of 2 people and maximum of 18 people per booking is required: there is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund.
A Considerable amount of walking is involved.
In case of adverse weather conditions (e. g. heavy rain), the tour will not be canceled, unless there are warnings and alerts by official organisms.
We are not responsible for any traffic congestion in the city, resulting from cultural, sport and religious events, or even demonstrations / strikes, etc. However we will always offer alternatives to avoid these situations; one of them is to change the pick-up and drop-off locations. Unfortunately, this may be transmitted without prior notice.
During the summer and especially on very hot days, the access to Sintra Monuments can be closed by local authorities due to the risk of wildfire. This information can only be released on the same day of the tour, so Cooltours cannot be held responsible for these situations, which are beyond our control. We will do everything to comply with the program, but if not, we will have other alternatives such as Queluz National Palace or Sintra Nacional Palace

You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 24 hours before the experience’s start time.
Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.

Awesome day trip to Sintra!

We had a wonderful day on the trip to Sintra and Cascão. One group on our tour canceled so we had a small group of 5. Our guide Luis was great! He had so much knowledge about Portugal and all the places we visited. He was friendly and gave us great tips on where to eat as well as letting us have some say in our lunch spot! Be sure to check the weather before you go, it was pretty cool, cloudy and rainy when we were at Pena Palace but it made it seem magical. We met some great fellow travelers who ended up being from close to where we live in the U.S.!
