Please meet our guide in front of the Hard Rock Cafe. Most of the times the guide will park the vehicle in a underground parking lot, so don't worry if you don't see any vehicles approaching.

Itinerary

  • Park and National Palace of Pena

    Start your tour with the journey to Sintra. Visit Pena Park, where you will be amazed by the variety of trails, trees and other plants. Next, feel like Portuguese royalty as you enter the romantic Pena National Palace at the top of Sintra Mountain. See the Great Triton, the guardian of the palace, inspired by Manueline art. Inside the palace, admire the attention to detail in the bedrooms of the king and queen and the Arab Room.

  • Centro Historico de Sintra

    Leave the palace and follow your guide to the historical center of Sintra, where you’ll have free time to explore the town, you can visit the Sintra National Palace on your own, where the Portuguese royalty of the 15th and 16th centuries used to spend the summer months (own expense) or have a drink and a snack (own expense). Try a travesseiro or a queijada, two delicious local pastries.

  • Cabo da Roca

    Next, admire the landscape of Sintra Natural Park on the way to the next stop. Enjoy a photo opportunity at the cliffs of Roca Cape (Cabo da Roca), the westernmost point of Europe.

    Pass by the surfer's paradise of Guincho Beach.

  • Boca do Inferno (Pass By)

    Pass the cliff at Hell’s Mouth (Boca do Inferno), before stopping to stretch your legs along Cascais’ bay.

  • Centro Historico de Cascais

    Free time for lunch and to wander around the centre of Cascais, a former fishing village and today a popular holiday spot. Follow your guide through narrow alleyways and see the traditional Portuguese white houses or enjoy some time relaxing at the beach.

  • Casino Estoril (Pass By)

    On the drive back to Lisbon where your tour concludes, soak up the scenic views along the Atlantic coast and in the town of Estoril.

A wonderful day, a great tour and The Best Tour Guide Rodrigo

Started the tour off on time. Rodrigo introduced himself to us and asked us a bit about ourselves too. He has a load of information and pointed out to many interesting things along the way with indepth knowledge. There was never a dull moment or silence during the tour. The entire tour at the Palace was explained very well. His recommendations for lunch were sound and well received by all. Very easy to communicate with. On the way back even went out of the way to suggest sights that we could do tomorrow. All in all a very very good tour and a very big thank you to Rodrigo for a wonderful day

He was a great organizer. I special his efforts. One thing I would recommend for those who plan to go to Cintra, the way is very winding, so if you have motion sickness, please don’t forget to take medicine.

Our guide Sergio was amazing. He was knowledgeable, safe with the right touch of humour. The pace of the outing was perfect and we enjoyed all of the sights. We wouldn’t change one bit. The best part was our guide. Can’t recommend this experience enough.

If I could give 10 ⭐️’s I would. Rodrigo was an amazing guide. He answered all of our questions (there were many) he also made great suggestions as to where to eat, how to avoid crowds and most of all made sure we really had a thorough history of Portugal. It was excellent! I would book with him and the Inside Lisbon team anytime!!! Perfect day!
