  • Quinta da Regaleira

    Moving forward we have the stunning Quinta da Regaleira. This yet another UNESCO-listed site has anciently carved buildings, incredible gardens and a gothic breeze that will enchant anyone who dares to enter. Full of history behind it, you will learn all about the caves, secret wells and art that originated from the Masonry, the Templars and the Rose Cross. ( Suggested Monument )

  • Parque e Palacio de Monserrate

    This magnificent property is a jungle of exotic trees and flowering shrubs. Its’ history dates back to the time of the Moors, but it was named after a small 16th century chapel dedicated to Our Lady of Monteserrat, from Catalonia, Spain. ( Suggested Monument )

  • Centro Historico de Sintra

    Before moving towards Cabo da Roca, You may want take a stroll through the historical center of Sintra. This is a good time to rest, lunch and try out some traditional regional pastries. You'll enjoy one hour of free time!

  • Park and National Palace of Pena

    The 19th-century Romantic palace is a wonder to discover and one you will not soon forget. It is one of the best places to take pictures. It’s placed high on top of the mountain with a splendid view that stretches for miles, all the way to the Ocean. ( Suggested Monument )

  • Sintra National Palace

    In the heart of the village of Sintra, a pair of unusual conical chimneys rise above the Royal Palace. This Palace became the favourite summer retreat of the court and continued, as the residence of the Portuguese royalty, until the 1980s. The gradual reconstruction of the palace resulted in a fascinating amalgam of styles. ( Suggested Monument )

    As you stroll through the beautiful and exotic landscape, your guide will give you historical and architectural details on the region but letting you explore the monuments on your own. Later we continue through the National Park onwards to see the Moorish Castle and Montserrate Palace. ( Suggested Monument )

    We'll finish off with Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Continental Europe, is yet another great spot to take some pictures and feel the sea breeze.

    After more than a century as a holiday resort, Cascais has a certain notoriety that more recent resorts lack. Its history is visible in the villas along the coast. The sheltered sandy bay was once a prehistoric fishing port.

Wonderful Sintra Tour with Susana

We had a wonderful Sintra full-day private tour with our guide Susana. She was terrific and the sights were amazing. Susan was so friendly, knowledgeable about the history of Portugal and the area, and a pleasure to be around. It was great to be able to customize our day. Susana made our trip and day a special family experience!

Fernando was an excellent tour guide and we really enjoyed the day! Fernando asked ahead of time if we had any preferences, which was a nice touch. We stuck with the typical tour and saw some amazing sights. Quinta da Reguleria was a beautiful place and Fernando added some great perspectives, pointing out Masonic references which would have been completely missed if we had gone by ourselves. Pena Palace is amazing and a must see, in my opinion. The whole day was great and I would highly recommend the tour. Thank you Fernando!

A fantastic visit to Fairytale Castle Wonderland

We had a fantastic adventure in the fairytale castle wonderland known as Sintra! Our guide Lourenço was friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. We saw two castles with our guide, Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira, and one castle, The National Palace, on our own, during our lunch break. All three were amazing. Wear comfortable shoes and be ready for steep climbs with the reward of jaw dropping views. A highlight of our trip to Lisbon for sure!

We had such a lovely day with Ricardo, he customized the day to what we wanted to see and it was perfect. He obviously loves his country and enjoys sharing his knowledge about it with others. I would absolutely do this tour again and encourage others to take it.
