What To Expect

1. Lisbon Meet your guide in central Hotel Fénix ( Praça Marquês de Pombal 8 ) Lisbon and hop into an air-conditioned minivan for your guided day trip 1 hour

2. Obidos Start your journey toward the town of Óbidos, where we will start with a guided tour accompanied by our expert local guide. Completely surrounded by ancient walls and preserving all its medieval charm, Óbidos is one of the most famous and visited places in Portugal, a must-see in the surroundings of Lisbon. The narrow cobbled streets that can be seen in Óbidos will immediately transport you to a medieval atmosphere. These streets are home to perfectly preserved old houses, historic buildings, important monuments and, dominating the historic center in the highest part of the village, the Castle of Óbidos, declared one of the 7 wonders of Portugal. 45 minutes

3. Nazare Continue the trip heading to possibly the most famous fishing town in Portugal, Nazaré, where we will visit the Forte de Sao Miguel. This site has become world-famous for the giant wave that hits its coast every winter and attracts lots of surfers from all over the world. 30 minutes

4. Forte de Sao Miguel Walk through O Sitio, where the famous streets present a collection of religious buildings and are a hugely popular site for pilgrims from all around the globe. Hike your way up to the summit, where you'll find medieval fortifications, 17th-century churches, and modern shrines. Wander the courtyards and plazas surrounded by ornate structures, basilicas and statues. 45 minutes

5. Porto Continue the trip heading to Oporto, the last stop of the day. 2 hours

6. Torre dos Clerigos First you will have 1h to have a typical portuguese lunch on your own to recover some energy. 1 hour

7. Igreja do Carmo start. A vibrant 2h walking tour, where you will admire the stunning Old Town on the picturesque Douro River, complete with six bridges, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Igreja do Carmo, Estação São Bento, Igreja São Francisco and Ponte Don Luis. 2 hours

8. Lisbon At the end of your tour, you will return to the center of Lisbon and your guide will recommend things to do during the rest of your stay. 3 hours 30 minutes

Ricardo was simply amazing! He was very friendly, welcoming, and gave very informative tour of Porto! Ricardo kept a very good balance between walking, givingbinfo, and free time. At the end of the trip we even got treated to his fantastic singing of the Portuguese song! I would highly recommend to have Ricardo as your tour guide! Thank you!

Absolutely amazing tour!!!! It helps effectively capture the essence of Portugal by covering 3 cities in a day. Ricardo Dias was the perfect guide for the day. He has a great knowledge of Portuguese history and gave us many fascinating facts and information about each of the locations as well as the regions we crossed on the way. He ensured there was enough time for us to explore each of the places on our own as well. Above all, being an extremely talented singer, he ensured a complete Portuguese experience for us by singing a beautiful Portuguese song for us! Perfect tour, perfect day. Highly recommended.

Great day trip and I would recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon who wants to see more of Portugal. It is a long day with lots of travelling but the locations are worth it. Our guide Ricardo was excellent keeping the group informed and giving additional commentary throughout
