Continue to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Continental Europe and amaze yourself with the impressive views of the ocean crashing against the rocky cliffs. Marvel yourself with the Portuguese Riviera, while enjoying a short walking tour around Cascais. Discover a little more of this town that was once the home of a fishermen community but also the Portuguese Royal Family, with some free time! Relax back on board and admire more breathtaking views of the Portuguese coast, in Estoril, as you make your way back to Lisbon.

  • Park and National Palace of Pena

    The tour begins with a visit to the romantic Sintra Mountains! Considered a World Heritage site this mountain range is full of palaces, mansions, cottages, convents, churches, chapels and shrines set amidst lush and surrounding vegetation. It has been the inspiration for great authors of European literature, abundant in archaeological remains that show that it has been occupied over numerous millennia.

    You can stroll through charming streets in the historic centre of Sintra. We then climb the beautiful mountain roads to the most extravagant Portuguese palace, a fascinating fairy tale castle built in the ‘’romantic’’ Portuguese style.

  • Cabo da Roca

    We resume the tour by passing through Sintra/Cascais Natural Park on the way to the western most point of continental Europe – Cabo da Roca, a place of infinite blue and a superb view of the Atlantic Ocean at its most wild.

Great combo tour

What an awesome day out and about - to see different cities villages and the Palace was a great combo. Weather of course being unpredictable did make the day a bit harder - we had heavy rain, strong winds and it was very chilly. Views were a little limited at times but it was still great.

Amazing experience and a great tour guide. Silva was the tour guide for the trip and he was extremely knowledgeable and personable he made us all feel extremely comfortable throughout the entire tour. Would definitely recommend.

A very good guide MyriamWho was friendly and knowledgeable. We really enjoyed her commentary and personality. Very interesting places to visit. The biggest issue was the bathrooms or lack of enough of them at the places we visited, which made us late getting back to the bus because we had to stand in long lines for the WC. Everything else was nice and well run. We enjoyed our lunch a great deal at a place Myriam suggested.

The tour was way more than I expected. Despite the rain, it was wonderful to see this part of Portugal and to learn about it's history. Our guide Assim and driver took very good care of us. I highly recommend this tour.
