Soma San…. We cannot thank you enough for organizing this last minute request for private car with local Japanese-English tour guide Nori. Driver Masa was very professional and such a careful and considerate driver! Tour guide Nori was exceptional and so very knowledgeable, always making sure that we were all okay and taking into consideration what we had asked for regarding places of interest and buying omiyage, he was very patient with us and gave us excellent recommendations. He also remembered that we wanted to avoid crowds and therefore made other arrangements for us to see some hidden gems in place of the over crowded site that we had wanted to see. I cannot thank you enough! Price was worth the stress free commute from Osaka and the avoidance of the crowds! If we ever visit Japan again, we will certainly book a tour with you again!! Thank you so much again!

What a great tour experience. Nori was the perfect tour guide for this experience. He lives in and loves his hometown of Kyoto. We started the morning at the Yasaka shrine. It was a good choice to start here in the morning and miss the crowds. From Yasaka we traveled to the Nanzen-ji temple. Truly a beautiful place. Thank you Nori for bringing some Zen into our day. After lunch we traveled to the Rakusai Bamboo Park. It was very quiet and peaceful. Unlike the very crowded Arashiyama Bamboo Park. Highly recommend booking a private tour with Travel Japan Together !

Nori was a great guide with a huge amount of experience in Kyoto. Given how crowded the city can get and the need to be selective about which places to visit in the limited time we had, Nori's experience was so valuable. But the absolute highlight of the time we spent together was visiting places only known to experienced guides and which avoid the large number of tourists. Nori took us to a special bamboo forrest where we were literally alone and could enjoy the nature far away from the big crowds. There is so much to do in Kyoto that you really need multiple guides! Nori was knowledgeable about history -- and Kyoto's place in that history -- which made the day we spent together enjoyable and informative. Very highly recommended.

The Kyoto day tour with Soma was simply fantastic! We visited iconic landmarks like Kinkaku-ji and Fushimi Inari Shrine, but what made the tour special was Soma's detailed storytelling and the hidden gems we discovered along the way. I learned so much about Kyoto’s rich history and culture. It was a perfect balance of sightseeing and learning!
