  • Gyoki Statue with a Fountain

    Meet up with your guide at the meeting point and board the express train to Nara to begin the dayā€™s adventure. Pass by the Gyoki Statue

  • Nara Park

    From there, youā€™ll head to Nara Park where youā€™ll see the friendly, free-roaming Sika deer, considered sacred messengers of the gods in the Shinto religion. Take in the vast, wide-open spaces and lush greenery, and snap a few photos with the deer (considered the symbol of Nara), before heading to Todaiji.

  • Todai-ji Daibutsuden (Great Buddha Hall)

    This UNESCO World Heritage Site stands majestically within the park and houses the awe-inspiring Great Buddha (Daibutsu), one of the largest bronze statues of Buddha in Japan. Up next is a traditional lunch at Kotoya Restaurant where youā€™ll get to enjoy some local Nara specialties before you head to Kasuga Taisha shrine.

What A Day!

Richard was an excellent tour guide! He was very knowledgeable and provided additional information that was very helpful in understanding more of the sites in Nara. Am glad that we did an early start, and we beat the crowds to all the important areas. The walk was quite long but all worth it as we got the full experience.

The Nara tour was fantastic! Our guide was super friendly and knowledgeable, making the trip enjoyable. We loved visiting Todaiji Temple, Kasuga Taisha Shrine, and feeding the cute sika deer. The local food was delicious and made the day even more special. Definitely a tour worth taking!

Amazing tour day in Nara

Weā€™re back again to Japan this October. This time, the tour was really great and fun! The guide was amazing and informative. He showed us lot of best spots and even took a picture of us. Visiting temples and shrines was unforgettable and seeing the friendly sika deers up close was our highlight. The food was really delicious making the tour even better. Highly recommended!!

We had a very enjoyable and fun day with our guide Katsuhiko! He really is a great guy and he led us through Nara with ease. Altogether a very fun experience, which we do recommend if you do want to visit Nara.

We had a great tour with Yossi. He picked us up at Kyoto and travelled with us to Nara. He was prepared for the tour and showed us the best spots for viewing the temple and shrines, and we passed through the deer park. We tasted real Japanese cuisine during the tour and we had no difficulty communicating with him.
