Overview

    A spacious public park in the Ueno district of Taitō, Tokyo, Japan. Ueno Park is also celebrated in spring for its cherry blossoms and hanami.

  • Ueno Toshogu Shrine (Pass By)

    A shrine in the time honored Japanese religion of Shinto and was built and dedicated in 1627 to the memory of Tokugawa Ieyasu (1542 - 1616), the founder of the Tokugawa Shogunate.

    Storied center for Buddhist worship & prayer in revered surroundings with tranquil landscaping.

Awesome tour with Harumi!

Our tour with Harumi was incredible! We went to so many hidden gems and tried amazing food in Tokyo. Harumi was so fun to talk to and it was awesome to try new foods with a local. We especially loved the yakitori shop and the gyoza. I would recommend this tour to anyone going to Tokyo!

Got to try a lot of different foods and see an area of Tokyo we might have missed. Actually went back a couple nights later to explore even more. Definitely be hungry! By the last stop I was pushing it, and it was all so good and I didn't want to not eat everything! Great experience.

We took this tour in fall 2024 as a way of exploring Tokyo. Yumi was our guide and she was amazing! This tour was well worth it.

We loved our tour with Harumi through Ueno. Since we were staying in Shinjuku, it was great to be in an area with locals and see what Harumi called “the real Japan”. The food was plentiful and tasty. We ate at 7 different places, enjoying: sushi, gyoza, croquettes, yakitori, a big sukiyaki meal, matcha ice cream, and pastries. Each establishment we went in to had its own vibe and atmosphere, and we experienced places we wouldn’t have just walking around on our own. Highly recommend it, and make sure you don’t eat before hand, you’ll be stuffed by the end of it!
