Alternatively, "Ame" also stands for "America", because a lot of American products used to be available there when the street was the site of a black market in the years following World War Two.

My family had Yoko as our guide and she was fantastic. We did not expect Yoko to bring her own camera, but she did, taking pictures of our family through the tour and sending us the pictures right after. We had a fun time at the Imperial Palace and on shopping at character street after including a great Raman lunch. I would highly recommend her.
