  • Templo Romano de Evora (Templo de Diana)

    Seeing the old "meat butcher" has become the ex-libris of the city.

  • Cathedral of Evora (Se Catedral de Evora)

    Visit the cathedral in granite, which marks the transition from the Romanesque to the Gothic style.

    15 minutes

  • Chapel of Bones

    Visit to the "sinister" Chapel of Bones in the Royal St. Francis Church. Composed of human skulls and bones, it was built in the seventeenth century by the initiative of three Franciscan friars, with the aim of showing the fragility of human life. At the entrance you can read "We bones here we are, for your hope," shows the macabre taste of baroque man for necrophilia.

    Visit to a Factory/Store to see and learn about the art of cork.

  • Ervideira

    A stop at a winery with history and where we will have 6 tastings between whites and reds. Here, we will be able to taste local cuisine with cheeses and sausages while tasting the wines. Also mention the beautiful reception of two very friendly dogs, at the entrance of the winery.

Wine tasting and tour was a highlight. Local family operated and they tailored to our tastes and pace. No crowds and relaxing. Ordered bottles to ship home and everything arrived just as ordered.

Tour Évora! With Bruno!

I had a tour to Evora with Bruno and it could not have been better. His education in Portuguese history combined with his clear love for his country made this tour outstanding. On the drive to Evora, Bruno told me all about what I would see and why it was important historically. Having my own guide on this tour who could answer any question I could think of was truly incomparable. If you want to take a tour of anywhere in Portugal, use this company, and ask for Bruno to be your guide!

Our group had an amazing tour with Bruno as our guide. Of all the tours and tour guides we did this trip, this tour was one of the best and Bruno was definitely the best. We learned so much from him, and his love of Portugal and especially Sintra was inspiring.

We had Jose as our tour guide/driver for four days, from Évora to Lisbon to Obidos, Nazaret, Fátima and ended upon arrival in Porto. Jose is an excellent driver-we felt in very good hands, even in the narrowest of winding streets. Jose is very knowledgable of the history of Portugal, and provided the highest level of information. All the places we visited were so interesting! The little details of wine tasting here, popular dessert there, a fresh bottle of water etc were greatly appreciated.

We had a great tour with Jose he was knowledgeable and pleasant on our private tour. Evora provides very interesting sites to see. I found the cork stop unexpected but interesting. The wine tasting was fabulous. Great for couples. Evora itself was a lens to the past where else can you see some of these ruins in tact?? Also the church tour was very interesting. It was an impressive tour.
