2. Kinkakuji Temple Kinkaku-ji, also known as the Golden Pavilion, is a revered Zen Buddhist temple located in Kyoto, Japan. Renowned for its stunning architecture and picturesque surroundings, Kinkaku-ji stands as a testament to the beauty of Japanese craftsmanship and spirituality. The temple's upper two floors are adorned with shimmering gold leaf, creating a breathtaking sight that is reflected in the tranquil pond that surrounds it. 1 hour

3. Kiyomizu-dera Temple Kiyomizu Temple is the biggest and the most famous temple in Japan and has been registered as the world heritage in UNESCO. Surrounding Kiyomizu-dera, the Higashiyama district is a treasure trove of traditional Japanese culture. Narrow lanes lined with traditional machiya houses, quaint shops, and artisan studios provide an authentic taste of old Kyoto. Great Value Option!

This tour is perfect for those who want to have sites and time flexibility. You can take their suggestions, or give them your list. They will then take you to the locations avoiding the crowds and you do and stay as you wish…then on to the next one. Lexi, our host, was attentive and efficient, even for a lunch recommendation. Can’t beat the price as we were 5 people, and the transportation vehicle was extremely comfortable.

See it all with a savvy guide

Fujimoto was an excellent driver! We already had an ambitious agenda and had accepted that don't things may have to wait for another day if we ran out of time, but Fuji checked off every item from the list and still managed to take us to additional locations he suggested that turned out great for us. At each stop he had tips for us to navigate quickly, avoid crowds, see rarer sights, etc... and in between stops we learned from him along the way. He also got us a reservation at great lunch spot that we hadn't anticipated. I would happily tour with Fuji again. When you consider how much there is to see in Kyoto, we looked at this as a great investment. It made the rest of our stay more enjoyable because we could ease our pace.

Great for family visiting Kyoto for one day

My family of 4 people only had one day to do sightseeing and having a private driver was very convenient. Our driver was pleasant and was flexible to our requests for pick up and drop off. Kyoto was very crowded with tourists and traffic was terrible at the time of our visit. Having a private driver helped made our short visit to Kyoto more enjoyable and we were able to visit all the sites on the list.
