If you want enjoy Mt Fuji without climbing, visit the Fuji Five Lake area which is developed as a resort area and provides a breathtaking view of the mountain on clear days. This is private 7-hour tour is led by a local professional guide, and is able to be customized to your liking, based on your interests and the weather to make the most of your day. Up to 8 guests can experience the view, culture, history and food around Mt Fuji. Meet at Kawaguchiko station, where you will board the bus that will take you on your full-day guided adventure.

Excellent full day hiking and tour around Kawaguchiko and Fuji area

We would like to give our best rating for our guide, Ms. Yumiko Matsui, for a wonderful and complete tour aground the Kawaguchiko area. My family of 12 people all enjoyed our hiking around Mt. Fuji and our visit to the melody road, shrine and ice cave. Yumiko san told us many helpful facts about Japan and the area, and we all enjoyed a delightful lunch at a delicious local noodle restaurant on the lake. She taught the group some Japanese and also how to make an origami Mt. Fuji. My whole family from ages 13 up enjoyed the full day with Yumiko san very much.

Shy Mt Fuji

Although we experienced a 'shy' Mt Fuji (covered in low fog clouds), our guide Yumiko provided us with a full day of fun & activities around the area. We loved the lava cave with the spectacular ice formations underground- then topped our walk off with a corn Icecream! Add salt and it was delicious!! Lunch was huge and incredibly tasty, especially the local Fuji Hoto noodles (yummy!). Our favourite visit was to the Itchiku Kubota Kimono art museum- it was stunning and very interesting to see, plus the gorgeous gardens. The sake tasting was a fun way to end our wonderful 'shy' day at Mt Fuji. Thank you to Yumiko for your expert guidance.

Amazing trip. Would love to go back

Our day trip to Mt Fuji area was amazing. Our guide Mrs Yumiko was very knowledgeable and made our trip unforgettable. She took a lot of care to show us the highlights of the area and guide us for amazing lunch and ice creams. We had an awesome time. Would love to go back to the area in another season. Thank you Yumiko.

Great tour; outstanding guide

Yumiko was an excellent guide with great knowledge and insight of the area and its history. She knows the best places to eat, and took us to a place for local Hoto soup. Very attentive and flexible and showed us several nature sights off the beaten path. Was very accommodating and gave great advice and assistance for the following day. Highly recommended!

A perfect day in the Mt. Fuji area

Our day with Yumiko-san was absolutely wonderful! We experienced so many incredible things: Aokigihara forest, the Narusawa Ice/Wind caves, corn ice cream, the world-class Kimono museum, delicious Hoto noodles and sake tasting. It was a day we will never forget. We had a blast with Yumiko-san. Her English is excellent and she taught us so many things about Mt. Fuji. We will definitely do this tour again on our next trip to Japan!
