  • U.S. Capitol

    The Capitol is among the most architecturally impressive and symbolically important buildings in the world. The Senate and the House of Representatives have met here for more than two centuries. Begun in 1793, the Capitol has been built, burnt, rebuilt, extended, and restored; today, it stands as a monument not only to its builders but also to the American people and their government. Enjoy a reserved tour of the rotunda, crypt, and old house chambers led by a US Capitol Guide.

    Experience a guided tour of one of the most beautiful buildings in Washington, DC as you view the main reading room, a portion of Thomas Jefferson's original library, and the Great Hall. Learn about the library's history and current operations, and how you can access the resources within its collection.

  • Supreme Court (Pass By)

    Learn about the history and inner workings of the highest court in the land as you visit the Supreme Court. Your guide will share the the story of the birth of the Supreme Court up to current cases and what they mean. *does not enter the building

  • Tour runs approximately 3 hours
  • Please plan to arrive 15-20 minutes before tour start time. Tour begins exactly at stated time, entry to buildings are on timed reservations, and group must enter security together, therefore we are unable to accommodate for late arrivals.
  • Closest Metro stop: Capitol South (Orange/Blue/Silver Lines) - Exit station using main exit, walk approximately two blocks north on First Street SE.
  • The US Capitol and its surrounding complex are in a secure federal operation area and nearby parking is highly restricted. The nearest public parking is located at Union Station approximately .5 mile from meeting location. Alternative modes of transportation are highly encouraged.

Guide was very knowledgeable - my gps on the phone had me going the wrong direction on our meeting place. Thank goodness I had received a text message reminding me of the tour as I called that number and the agent was extremely helpful & patient getting me oriented to meet them on time.

The Capitol and Library of Congress is simply a can’t miss tour. So much stunning detailed architecture and history everywhere. We really enjoyed our tour guide James. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the many aspects of these buildings and DC, with some comedic zingers to make the tour a delight.
