We were late to our appointment due to traffic on the way there but Stef was extremely patient and understanding! He also offered to still complete the 3 hour tour. Unfortunately since we had a packed schedule, we decided to only do 90 mins. Chris was an excellent tour guide! He took a bunch of photos and videos of us. He even made a video compilation of our videos!

We had a superb time driving around Lake Kawaguchiko in these little single-seater electric cars. An international Driver's Permit associated with your drivers' licence is required, and a grand sum of about JPY35,000 per person for about half day tour. We met at the Kawaguchiko train station, hotel bus stop outside the Tourists' information Bureau. Then we followed in our car to where the cars were garaged. Once we had a briefing and shown how to drive the car, we were off in a convoy. Those who could not drive got in a car with the host, who would lead the convoy. We had a fine time driving around and taking photos at picturesque spots around Lake Kawaguchiko, facing Mount Fuji. We also attracted a lot of attention from other tourists and locals alike, who waved and smiled at us. We made frequent stops along the way to enjoy the sights, and also for coffee and toilet breaks. The tour runs throughout the year, and our host said that it's even better in winter and in the snow. As the cars are open top, do be prepared for the cold or the rain. Our hosts also brings spare gloves and rain jackets in his car , in case participants need some extra layers. This was a very unique experience and one that I could not recommend more! Super fun morning! Car is easy to drive and the drive/view was beautiful. The stop is also fun with cute shops and yummy lavender ice cream.

We had a magical time seeing the famous sites around Kawaguchiko with Stef. He is a wonderful host, very funny, and has many interesting stories to share about his history, the local history, and Japanese life. The cars were brilliant to drive - an excellent way to get about the area without being cramped into a bus. The air smells so lovely blowing in your face - of cedar and fresh water. We did the 6am tour, and it was worth skipping breakfast for it. Everywhere we went was almost deserted apart from a few locals. We got to bask in the beauty of each place without jostling with other tourists. Stef does excellent filming, so don't use your own phone while driving. I've made a brilliant little video with all of his footage, and he took wonderful photos. One of these I will definitely frame when we get home. Thank you, Stef!

A really fun experience with a good guide. The cars are easy to drive and the views are amazing. Fully recommend if wanting to see Mount Fuji in a unique way.
