Feeling hungry and want to try one of the most popular noodle dishes in this town? Houtou is a noodle dish with a rich vegetable/miso-based broth. There's a reason why it's the most popular restaurant in town!
If you want something less touristy, or something else to eat, don't fret! I have many more local and delicious spots I would love to take you to!

Yagizaki Park
A quick stop at this quaint little park for a quick photo op. Stunning views of Mt Fuji on a small hilltop make a perfect memory for you and your family and friends. When in season there is a beautiful path of hydrangeas and other flowers. If we're lucky we can see the swans resting shoreside near the lake.

Enjoy a drive around Lake Kawaguchiko, stopping at a few stops to take in the breath taking views.

Oishi Park
Take in the views of Mt Fuji while enjoying the beautifully manicured garden at Hana Terrace. Check out the boutique shops and pick out your next souvenir. Try an array of interesting ice cream flavors, including shine muscat and peach-flavored ice cream. Pizza, coffee, and some Japanese food are served here.

This was the best tour that I have ever taken. Johnny was the most professional, caring, knowledgeable, and fun professional who goes beyond what the job requires. He made arrangements for us to enjoy our trip including arrangements to go to the Fresh Water Restaurant. It was the best experience of our trip. Johnny was an excellent guide, providing a wonderful day of touring Mt. Fuji area. He knew all the shortcuts and hidden gems that only a committed local could possibly know. Some of our party have mobility limitations, and Johnny smartly accommodated them while conjuring adventure for the rest. Stop scrolling and pick Johnny!

Johnny gave us an unforgettable day in Kawaguchiko and around Mt. Fuji! My wife and I had a unique itinerary where we were coming in from Kyoto and heading back to Tokyo the same day as the tour, and he was more than willing to accommodate us and make the most out of the time we had. He took our wishlist into account to craft a customized day tour.
His knowledge of the area and each site we saw was such a fantastic enhancement to our tour. Plus, he's just a genuinely lovely guy and was a pleasure to hang out with for the day!
