Overview

Get to know one of the cities where dreams come true, great industries like Nintendo were born, and be part of a great adventure full of colorful landscapes, geishas, samurai, temples, and much more. During the tour, we will enter HISASHI-YAMA, one of the most historic areas of Kyoto where you will be delighted with fascinating stories of the ancient emperors and samurai warriors (Shoguns). Finally, we will visit the Koshindo monkey temple and see the gigantic Yasaka pagoda built in the 8th century by Prince Shotoku. Kyoto is an interesting city, it will fill you not only with history and temples but with a wide variety of cuisine. Once the tour is finished, we will give you recommendations for restaurants and activities to do.

Itinerary

  • Kamogawa River

    The tour starts from the SANJO-OHASHI bridge station, where we will take a short walk along the KAMOGAWA river, you will hear stories of how Kyoto became the capital of Japan and one of the most important cities.

  • Gion Shirakawa

    Later , we will find the most beautiful place in Kyoto, the Geisha District (GION) , where you can observe an atmosphere of ancient architecture called Machi-Ya , traditional wooden houses with more than 150 years , a memorable place to store in our memories.

  • Chion-in Temple

    The next stop will be at CHION-IN SAMON , one of the most prestigious temples in Japan , there we will explain how the Japanese introduced Buddhism as a religion and why Christianity was such a failure.

  • Yasaka Koshin-Do

The tour is easy. Enough history, too keep it interesting but . Hugo our guide is great, open to answer all kind of questions related or not to the tour. I'm sure I'll join the tours for Osaka and Kyoto. As a solo traveler I ought my photos with the deers to him as well. ARIGATO

it was a private tour that we were informed about the day before. we really liked this. That way we could ask a lot of questions. Cem explained everything very clearly, also knew a lot to tell. Got a lot of nice information about Kyoto. About history, culture and food.
