Overview

For the eco-conscious outdoor adventurer! This curated, 2 hour kayaking tour is a ultimate way to experience a different side of the Cinque Terre.. and discover places only accessible by the sea. Cinque Terre dal Mare is the oldest boat and kayak tour company in Riomaggiore with 13+ years of experience. Our team consists of professional, local captains, all raised on the sea with a vast knowledge of English and of the area. This is a fairly easy course, so you don't need kayaking experience and you don't need to be super athletic either. All ages are welcome. (Itinerary is subject to change depending on the sea conditions). Join us for an amazing experience you'll be talking about for years!

Meeting points

Please check in 30 minutes prior to departure time. Our office is located in the heart of the marina in Riomaggiore. Looking at the sea, our office is on the right hand side, under the archway. Please look for us in the yellow Cinque Terre dal Mare tshirts!

Itinerary

  • Riomaggiore (Pass By)

    Kayak along the spectacular Cinque Terre coastline! This guided tour departs from the charming port in Riomaggiore. Pull out your cameras as the jaw dropping views begin right as you leave the port! After leaving Riomaggiore, we'll paddle towards Manarola, the second 5Terre town, where you'll see the historic via dell'Amore and a chance to explore an awesome sea cave. We'll then kayak back past Riomaggiore, admire the incredible cliffs and picturesque backdrop, while we head south-east and stop for a refreshing dip at Macrexia, a natural pool that's only accessible from the sea. Not only is the water crystal clear here, put on your snorkeling masks (included) as you might catch some marine life! After your swim, we'll kayak back to our home port of Riomaggiore. Experience is not necessary, but we do ask that you are able hold a moving pace. Kayaks hold a max of 100kg. Single kayaks are recommended, but please let us know if you prefer to go on a double kayak with your partner.

Adventure, education, workout, and fun all in one activity.

This was an amazing adventure - views of Riomaggiore and Manarola, a great workout, cave exploration, and swimming with sea life! Our guide, Flavio, did an excellent job of guiding us to places we would not have explored by ourselves. We paddled all the way to Manarola, stopping at caves along the way, swimming, taking photos, and learning about the history of the area. When we got back, the owner, Francesco, asked us what we had planned for the evening, suggested a restaurant (Rio Bistro) and even called over and got us a table. It was an unforgettable adventure followed by an incredible dinner.

Clavio our guide was informative, fun, adventurous and we had a great time. 2 hours of sea kayaking is not for everyone- we doubled up instead of 5 single kayaks. Sore back for my husband who has regular back issues - so be ready to work out!! :) Did much more than I thought we could Do. Caves- swimming- cliff jump- all incredible!! Happy Family

My sister in law and I had an amazing experience! We loved this kayak tour. We kayaked, snorkled, swam, cliff jumped, and learned about the beautiful villages. It wasn't too difficult to kayak the sea although at times it was a little challenging with the waves.

My wife and I hired a double kayak for 4hrs. All the team were friendly and helpful, giving advise on where to go and timescales for reaching each resort. Really well equipped with drybags, goggles etc. We were able to leave our extra belongings with the office. Fantastic experience and the team were great fun and made our day extra special. Would definitely recommend.
