Overview

Pesto class & Wine tasting Unique opportunity to get to know our cellar, its history, its wines, the heroic viticulture of the Cinqueterre. -Vineyard tours: We will take you on a tour of the BarCa cellar and the historic vineyards of the Barrani-Capellini family, illustrating the different winemaking processes, from grape harvesting to bottling. -Wine tasting: You will taste the different types of wine: BarCa Cinqueterre DOC, Rosaluna rosé wine and Memento cru white wine directly in the vineyard overlooking the sea, far from the tourist chaos of the Cinqueterre. -Pesto class: The tasting will be accompanied by a pesto class where you will be the one to cook your basil pesto directly in the mortar, discovering the secrets of the family recipe! We are waiting for you!

Itinerary

  • Cinque Terre

    I will wait for you at the entrance to the town of Volastra to accompany you on a visit to our cellar where we will explain the main winemaking processes, our history and the origins of Cinqueterre wine. We will explain the differences from a production point of view in the making of our different types of wine: BarCa Cinqueterre doc", sea wine that fully represents the Cinqueterre, "Memento" wine, macerated wine that comes from a selection of our oldest vineyards and "Rosaluna" wine, rosé wine. After the visit to the cellar, you will be accompanied on a tour of the vineyards along the Manarola-Volastra path. In the vineyard we will explain the different differences between the three grape varieties of the Cinqueterre: Bosco, Arbarola and Vermentino. Then we will taste the three types of wine: BarCa Cinqueterre DOC, Memento white wine and Rosaluna rosé wine directly in the vineyard, a unique and unmissable experience to enter and learn about the world of wine.

Amazing very and Pesto

This was so fun. A very short walk/ hike down to the winery to make pesto. But the owner was so wonderful and nice. The place where you make the pesto is overlooking the ocean right in the vineyard. It is breathtaking! Highly highly recommend this tour. It was amazing and very easy to get there on the bus from the village.

Trekking through the vineyard and listening to the knowledge of the winemaker was very enjoyable. Tasting each of their wines and experiencing the authentic process of Pesto making while overlooking the ocean from high on the hillside, who could top that? Overall excellent experience.

Amazing Cinque Terre Winery Experience!

My husband and I, along with 4 other guests, had an absolutely wonderful time wandering along the grapevines to a scenic sea overview where we tasted a beautiful selection of Cinque Terre wines. Our host shared his family vineyard heritage /history and patiently answered questions. While sipping wine, we took part in the art of making pesto using a marble mortar and pestle which was included our tour and tasting. We enjoyed our pesto with locally baked focaccia. A truly magical sunset experience! Highly recommend!!

This was unreal. The views, the pesto, the wine. Andrea was an awesome host who walked us to this absolutely beautiful view of the water with a beautiful sunset. We grinned the pesto and the focaccia along with was wonderful. The wine also was the best wine I had in all of Italy so I’d highly recommend getting a bottle for later in your stay. You will not regret booking this. Super easy to get to location wise too

Amazingly amazing views! More than you could imagine! So beautiful! Excellent wine with great teachings and fun and delicious pesto making, which we ate with yummy focciaca bread over looking the sea! Our host was wonderful!!! This is a MUST DO activity in Cinque Terre!
