  • ļ¼ŠOn very hot summer days, it is recommended to change to Plan B course, which requires fewer steps and takes you to Chishakuin Temple( a hidden gem indoor temple) and Sanjusangendo Temple(famous for a forest of Buddhist statues).

Motoko-san was an amazing guide! She became fast friends with my wife and I, and was extremely knowledgeable, and very well prepared. The spots on this this tour are very busy, but she navigated with ease. We were fortunate enough to view during peak fall colors. All the locations were as beautiful as expected. We had plenty of time to search for souvenirs when needed, and enjoy some food along the way. Lunch was great, made by reservation. I wish we had Motoko-san to guide us for our whole stay in Japan? Arigato gozaimasu!

This was an amazing tour. Mieko is an incredible guide, very knowledgeable, energetic, and fun. She is a native of Kyoto so she knows the city very well and shared all her knowledge of Kyotoā€™s landmarks with us. She also gave us great recommendations on restaurants and shops. Mutsumi, our guide really made our trip to Kyoto special. She is very knowledgeable and shared the history of every site. We saw so many things and learned so much that we never would have done in a large group or on our own. We had a traditional tea ceremony, she took us to a fabulous restaurant where we enjoyed sushi and sukiyaki. It is evident that she loves her job and we feel lucky to have had her as our guide in Kyoto!
