    You can see the shining golden pavilion which used to be the political center of the Shogun(the head of Samurai warrior).It is one of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites in Kyoto.

  • This tour will take you to not only tourist attractions, but also to nice Japanese-style streets and back alleys. Please wear comfortable shoes.
  • Many places in Kyoto such as temples and taxis do not accept credit cards. Please be sure to have some Japanese yen ready before joining the tour.
  • ＊On very hot summer days, it is recommended to change to Plan B course, which requires fewer steps and takes you to Chishakuin Temple( a hidden gem indoor temple) and Sanjusangendo Temple(famous for a forest of Buddhist statues).
  • The cab can accommodate four people. 3 guests + a guide, so if there are 4 guests, two taxis are required.

Best time with my daughter! Highly recommend

We had an amazing time with Mailan Deguchi! She was kind, sweet and knew her history! We learned so much, walked a lot and she was able to accommodate our schedule since it rained really hard in the morning we changed our time to 1:00pm! I highly recommend this tour and Mailan!!

Great Private Tour of Kyoto!

Our tour of Kyoto with Yoko was a whirlwind of sites. We only had a couple days in Kyoto and this tour allowed us to see 10 great places in one day. Yoko was very knowledgeable and gave us lots of history and explanations of the different sites we saw. The boys desperately wanted Sushi for lunch and she even found us a great spot for that, very accommodating and always looking out for our interests.

This was a comprehensive, full day tour! Hiro, our guide, was excellent! He adjusted the tour to meet our needs. It rained most of the day, but we had a wonderful tour! Hiro's choice of a lunch venue was great! We enjoyed using the subway, tram, and taxis to get around, although these were at our cost. This also provided us with insight into the workings of the transit system...very clean and efficient! Overall, excellent tour and guide!

Our family had the most amazing tour guide in the world, Yoshi Naga. Yoshi was so helpful and knowledgeable and most importantly for us was that he was incredible with our kids. Yoshi showed us all over and gave us information and it never felt overwhelming, it never felt like if he was reading out of a textbook. His explanation was natural and organic. I recomend this tour ESPECIALLY if it's with Yoshi Naga. Now we feel Lucky Forever.

Meiko was the best tour guide we have ever had, she was prompt , friendly, and she was very knowledgeable about everything that we saw and did. She showed us all the top things to do in Kyoto in one day! But the pace was very good and she helped us experience and enjoy Kyoto . We have taken a lot of Viator tours around the world and this is the best one we have ever been on! I would highly recommend this tour and Meiko as your guide!
