1. Kinkakuji Temple You can see the shining golden pavilion which used to be the political center of the Shogun(the head of Samurai warrior).It is one of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage sites in Kyoto. 40 minutes

2. Bamboo Forest Street You will go through the Bamboo forest. This beautiful bamboo forest appears many times in the advertisement poster of Kyoto. 20 minutes

3. Tenryu-ji Temple Tenryu-ji Templet has an outstanding pond garden which was made by one of the greatest gardeners in Japan.It is also the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. 30 minutes

4. Togetsukyo Bridge Togetsu Bridge is a representative scene of the Arashiyama area. Please take a photo of it !! 10 minutes

5. Arashiyama Kimono Forest Kinomo forest is one of the most popular Instagram spots because of its' picturesque 600poles of 36 designs of Japanese kimonos. 10 minutes

6. Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine Fushimi Inari Shrine is the most popular place in Kyoto nowadays. It was selected as No1 place In Japan 5 times by TripAdvisor. You can go through the One thousand Torii gates. It will become a precious experience for you. The gods of business are enshrined here 1 hour

7. Kiyomizu-dera Temple Kiyomizu-dera Temple is registered as a World Heritage Site. It is famous for its vast balcony. Enjoy the panoramic view from there! 1 hour

8. Sannenzaka Ninenzaka Ninenzaka & Sannenzaka slopes are lined with traditional wooden buildings. They are souvenir shops. Please enjoy finding out the presents to your friends!! 1 hour

9. Yasakanoto 5 story pagoda is the landmark of Kyoto. Don't forget to take pictures here. We just look at it from outside. 5 minutes

10. Gion Gion Geisha district has many party- places with Maiko and Geiko. You can go through the beautiful traditional alley. 20 minutes

This tour will take you to not only tourist attractions, but also to nice Japanese-style streets and back alleys. Please wear comfortable shoes.
Many places in Kyoto such as temples and taxis do not accept credit cards. Please be sure to have some Japanese yen ready before joining the tour.
＊On very hot summer days, it is recommended to change to Plan B course, which requires fewer steps and takes you to Chishakuin Temple( a hidden gem indoor temple) and Sanjusangendo Temple(famous for a forest of Buddhist statues).
The cab can accommodate four people. 3 guests + a guide, so if there are 4 guests, two taxis are required.

Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.

Well organized tour with great guide - Naomi.

Naomi was a great tour guide. She was very friendly, professional, and prepared. Her English was very good. We saw so many amazing sights in one day. She knew exactly when to take the train, when to get a taxi, when to walk, where to buy the tickets, which specific sights to see within each attraction, where to go to lunch, etc. We couldn’t have accomplished all of this on our own. I feel like we saw the best attractions in one day. There are so many things to see in Kyoto you need a week but I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the highlights in one day.

We had an AMAZING time!! Our tour guide, Naomi was lovely, funny and knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the history behind each location we went to. My family loves history and watches documentaries on shoguns, samurai etc. so it was very interesting to go on this tour and learn even more about it. I really like matcha so Naomi took me to a place that sold these amazing matcha cookies! I wish I bought more because I pretty much ate them all. She also takes amazing pictures which I appreciate so much!! She came prepared with bags, hand wipes, everything! We had a really good time and if we come back to Japan, we would love to do a different tour with Naomi again. Thank you so much Naomi!

Great Kyoto tour!

We’re a family of four and had a great time exploring Kyoto with Taka. He shared a lot of the history of the places we visited. We learned a lot and were able to ask questions comfortably. The private tour allows us to be more flexible with the timing and Taka was able to accomodate that. We also had enough time to explore some of the shops after visiting the sites and he gave us some recommendations for dinner options after the tour. I highly recommend this tour if you have a limited time to explore Kyoto.

Olive has proved exceptionally brillant in her guidance. We learned a lot about the history of Kyoto, shintoism and buddhism with her plus she really did everything she could to please us.. We wouldn't have been able to see and learn so much in one day without her.

We had an amazing experience with Hiro! The tour was the perfect day tour that took us to all the locations we wanted to see and Hiro gave us so much information about the history and culture of Kyoto. This particular tour also gave us a look into the public transportation of Japan so if you are wanting to learn how to use the subway, tram, or train this was the perfect way to do so! Hiro was also a spectacular tour guide! He was kind, informative, funny, and friendly. He was one of the biggest reasons we had such a wonderful experience on this tour. We want to come back to Kyoto and when we do we will definitely request to have Hiro as our guide again! Thank you Hiro!
