    Hierve el Agua is a hidden oasis 40 miles into the foothills outside Oaxaca City. Only found by following a dirt road that winds through some of the most remote villages in Oaxaca, you’ll be rewarded with a glimpse of Hierve el Agua’s glimmering “waterfalls.” But what looks like flowing water is actually calcium deposits formed over thousands of years, now rising strikingly above the valley below. we will arrive at one of the most important natural wonders of Oaxaca; the petrified waterfalls of Hierve el Agua. We will do a hike around the place to admire the splendor of this magnificent place. After that, we will enjoy a dip in the natural pools, a unique experience! We will be having lunch at Citlali’s in Roaguia and will cook homemade traditional food: memelitas, tlayudas, and quesadillas, etc.

    "Mezcal Experience" (an informative tour of a traditional palenque with tastings) Tour in our palenque to know the process of making mezcal. Tasting of different varieties of agaves, and categories of mezcal, as well as flavors of mezcal creams.

Omar is a fantastic tour guide! He was waiting for us at our hotel and made sure we were all comfortable in his beautiful van. Our trip to Hierve Al Agua was spectacular and Omar arranged for a delicious lunch with a local family. He speaks excellent English and is a very careful driver, as well as being a super nice guy. I highly recommend Oaxaca Experience Tours and definitely recommend the trip to Hierve Al Agua. The petrified stone falls are not to be missed.
