Overview

**Must be 13+ to participate as a rider** Join Cycle Kyoto for a morning bike tour around south Kyoto's most beautiful locations. Stay safe riding on quiet backstreets, explore the mighty Fushimi Inari Shrine as well as a host of specially selected locations. Starts with a visit to the temples of central Kyoto before following the Takase Canal and Kamo River into Gion. After weaving through the backstreets of Kyoto’s famous geisha and teahouse district, we head up to the spectacular Tofukuji Temple for pictures. We then roll down to the other side of the slope and straight into Fushimi Inari Shrine (The most visited attraction in Japan!). After a stroll around the famous orange Torii gates, we head home.

    Stop off in Kyoto's famous geisha district, discover the secrets of this hidden world and maybe even catch a glimpse of one these entertainers hidden away!

Awesome Tour

Paul, our tour guide, took us to the locations as per the itinerary. The bike-riding was easy, fun, and the mountain bikes were new and comfortable to ride. Paul was knowledgeable, informative, easy-going, and professional. I highly recommend this tour by Cycle Kyoto.

Excellent Guide, Smooth Ride!

An excellent tour from Karl who was both friendly and knowledgable! We left with a much greater understanding of the city and many of our questions on the history of Japan answered, as Karl brought figures of Japanese history to life with excellent storytelling. He also anticipated the timings of activities and ceremonies at some of our stops, which we were really grateful to witness. The bikes were comfortable, good quality, and the route was very rideable with just a couple of small hills here and there. Finally, at the end of our tour, Karl gave us a number of food recommendations catering to us (vegetarian). Thanks again Karl and Cycle Kyoto, would definitely recommend and will be returning for a full day tour next time we are in Kyoto!

I had an amazing time with Kyoto Cycles. Paul was a FANTASTIC host. He was friendly and knowledgeable about his history of Kyoto. The best part was riding through the small streets of Kyoto. There was hardly any hills majority of the path was flat which made the route feel easy. They offer English, Spanish and Japanese translation from what I know. Avoid all the foot traffic through bike and still Kyotos tourist spots. Highly UNDERATED - would book again. Great people.

Really excellent e-bike tour. We had a 9 year old and 12 year old so did a private tour. Went to some beautiful places we would not otherwise have seen, and learnt some very interesting facts. Highly recommend!
