Wonderful snow monkey and shrine day tour

Ali was prompt and suggested to leave earlier to avoid traffic. We had a quick stop mid way through for snacks, coffee and a toilet break especially for the kids. We saw lots of monkeys it was a wonderful day!

We had an incredible time on our private Snow Monkey tour, and it wouldn’t have been the same without our wonderful guide, Shomo. From the moment we met him, he was warm, knowledgeable, and attentive to every detail. Shomo shared fascinating insights about the area, the monkeys, and Japanese culture along the way. He was patient with our kids, always ready to answer questions, and even helped us take some of the best family photos of our trip. The experience of seeing the snow monkeys up close in such a serene natural setting was magical, and Shomo made it even more memorable with his passion and kindness. We highly recommend this tour — and if you’re lucky enough to have Shomo as your guide, you’re in for something truly special!

We had a wonderful adventure seeing Snow Monkey Park and Nagano with our guide Shomo san. He was kind and prompt and patient, his English was very good, and his knowledge extensive. The tour delivered everything promised and more. I highly recommend both the tour and Shomo san. And make sure not to miss having a Nagano apple, they are delicious!

Journey was long but a great experience. Glad we caught the monkeys before spring was in full effect and the monkeys retreated back to the forest. Guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. If your only option to go is from Tokyo this is a great choice but a long journey.
