Overview

Leave Tokyo for a day and head north to Nagano Prefecture! Depart from Shinjuku area (LOVE OBJECT) at 08:00 (please gather within 07:45). Enjoy Japanese style set for lunch! After lunch, it will be time to see the famous monkeys of the Jigoku Valley, bathing in thermal water! Finally, behold the magic created by the kamakura snow huts being lighted up! Kamakura no Sato is only for January 20th to February 26th Arrive at Shinjuku around 20:00 (For January 20 to February 26, as the group will visit Kamakura no Sato, the tour will arrive at Shinjuku around 21:00)

Quite the hike to the monkeys. The monkeys act like you are invisible. Calming experience on my trip.

Great day out. It is a long day but absolutely worth it! Walk to get to monkey park is about 45 mins (if average fitness and uphill (although gentle for most of the way). Regular stops that break up the long journey and plenty of time to enjoy everything. We saw so many monkeys! They were everywhere and plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. Lunch was delicious!

Nature and animal lovers - this is a must do tour

This tour was well worth it. Although a long drive from Tokyo to Nagano, we had 2 stops on the way (rest stop and lunch). Adequate time was given at each stop, and lunch was very enjoyable and authentic. The snow monkey park was definitely a highlight and thoroughly enjoyed watching the monkeys interact with each other, grooming or playing. Plenty of opportunities to take photos or videos and all visitors that I observed were respectful. The walk up the mountain to the hot springs took approximately 30minutes and there was plenty of snow and ice, as well as sloshy mud during our visit. Highly recommend this tour if you'd like to experience seeing snow monkeys in their natural habitat.

We had a great time at Monkey snow park. However, guide had a very bad English pronunciation.. The ride was around 4 hours in one way.
