Itinerary

  • Heian Shrine (Pass By)

    After being kitted out with your e-bike we will cycle for approximately 15 minutes to Heian Shrine. Pedal through the iconic Torii gate as we make our way to Ginkakuji.

  • Ginkakuji Temple

    Experience the quiet elegance of Ginkakuji, the Silver Pavilion, often regarded as Kyoto's hidden treasure. While its golden counterpart draws the crowds, this majestic pavilion offers a more intimate, authentic glimpse into Kyoto’s history. Learn the story of its creation and the enjoy the tranquility it offers.

  • Hachidai Shrine

    From Ginkakuji we will cycle for roughly 20 minutes to Hachidai Shrine. Step into a quiet, tucked-away shrine steeped in the history of Shintoism. Here, you’ll explore age-old rituals and spiritual traditions that lie at the core of Japanese culture, all within a peaceful setting far from the usual tourist paths.

  • Enkoji Temple

    Discover one of Kyoto's most enchanting, lesser-known temples, hidden away from the usual tourist paths. Stroll through its tranquil gardens and immerse yourself in the calming embrace of Zen Buddhism. This serene retreat offers a rare glimpse into the true spirit of Kyoto. From there we will cycle for approximately 15 minutes to Shimogamo Shrine.

  • Shimogamo Jinja

    On our way back to the starting point, we'll stop at Shimogamo Shrine, one of the oldest and most historic shrines in Japan. We will then cycle for approximately 20 minutes along the Kamo River back to the start point.

E-Bikes in Kyoto

We picked this company for an e-bike tour sort of last minute which worked out in our favor. Miki the tour guide and owner of the shop was amazing. She was full of energy and had lots of knowledge about the sights she took us to. We were a group of 4 adults and a 12yr old. Being able to travel all around on comfortable bikes with Miki was perfect for our group. We would not have been able to see all the things, especially the local coffee shop without her tour. We would highly recommend her tour.
