Overview

Discover the unique charm of the greek myths under the magical rays of the setting sun. Start with a leisurely walk overlooking the sea during which your expert guide will introduce you to Greek mythology and will bring to life the myths and tales of gods and heroes. Along the way, stops at picture-perfect settings with great views are not only inspirational for photography at best but highlight the narrative of the island’s treasured myths. Overlooking the amazing view of the surrounding area you will enjoy wine tasting in honor of Dionysus- the ancient god of wine before continuing your exploration. The inspirational walk ends at the famous ‘Portara’, the great gate of the temple of god Apollo which remains, until today, the distinguishing landmark of Naxos. Enjoy a mythical sunset while Helios paints the sky with the last the last translucent shades of pink and amber before he sets into the Blue Aegean.

    Our tour begins at the landmark of Naxos, the marble "Portara" -god Apollo's temple massive gate- where from your expert licensed guide will share an introduction about the monument and the long history of the island, with views of the Aegean and the castle city itself.

Incredible tour! Must-do in Naxos

You can't miss this tour! The mythology in Naxos is so fascinating and our tour guide Labrina did an absolutely phenomenal job explaining all of the stories while making meaningful connections to everyday life. It was the highlight of our trip to Naxos. It's a must-do and you see parts of Naxos town we wouldn't have known to see. It's also amazing to see the sunset over the temple of Apollo. Highly recommend!

Great way to see beautiful Naxos! We were a group of 4 friends and we did the sunset walking tour with wine and LOVED it! Our guide, Labrina, was excellent. Great mix of being highly knowledgeable and also quite fun and a great story teller. Highly recommend this tour to those that want an on the ground sense for the island and also get some local info on Greek mythology!

Labrina was an incredible guide!! So knowledgeable, and happy to answer any of our questions. We visited some beautiful spots with gorgeous views - especially the labyrinth around the castle - and enjoyed some delicious wine and cheese before going to the final location Apollo's gate. Exceptional Tour in Naxos (Don’t Miss Out!)

Our guide Labrina was wonderful! She did an amazing job explaining the fascinating mythology of Naxos while weaving in historical information and information about wine. I don’t know if our trip to Naxos would have been as incredible as it was without her! We were able to see parts of Naxos that we didn’t know about as first time travelers to the island. We were so inspired by our tour, we visited a number of places again the next day. The wine tasting was a highlight as well. Highly recommend!!
