Overview

The best way to discover authentic island life is to walk through the history and back streets of Naxos Old Town for a sensational food experience and a true taste of local culture. From the historical port to the crowning castle, the Venetian Old Town with its quaint alleyways -where the food market is awake- passing by colourful fruit stands and stalls with aromatic herbs and spices, we invite travellers to enjoy a sampling of local delicacies including a variety of fine, local Naxian cheeses with a glass of wine, the famous naxian potatoes cooked traditionally and a variety of phyllo snacks. The food tour is filled with the promise of more traditional mezes and local delights all along the way. Guests learn about the richness of the Naxian products, the people and the local cuisine.

The tour ends at Naxos Port near the site of the "Portara" (the emblematic ancient marble gate on a hill) where from guests can continue on their own to enjoy a magnificent sunset with views of the Aegean and the town of Naxos.

Perfect 3 hour tour.

This was the perfect blend of seeing some treasured sites, sounds, history, drinks and of course traditional and delicious foods of Naxos. At around 3 hours we left happy, and filled after having the traditional drinks, and dishes of the island. Our guide was excellent. If going to Naxos. Make this a priority.

A good tour is all about the guide. Well, Natasha was fantastic. Her knowledge and love for the town amplified the enthusiasm of the night. Each stop was memorable and filled with flavour.

Natasha, the tour guide was excellent. The history and especially going into old town and the castle was excellent. Could have given more food. The chesse and wine was adequate,though. The dinner could have provided more food.

Natasha our tour guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We stopped at many different restaurants, local stores, historical sites and learned about Naxos history a long the way. We sampled a variety of food and drinks. We left with a full stomach. Everything was delicious.
