A great way to spend the day in Maui

This was the perfect way to experience Maui. Our guide, a native resident of Hana, was informative and genuine so, not only did we see some amazing landscape, we also learned a lot about Hawaiian history and culture. I highly recommend this tour.

Must do in Maui

Published on Dec, 2024

Malia, our tour guide, was absolutely amazing. Very informative and seemed to know just about everything about Maui/Hana. Opportunity for great photos. Also got to try a lot of local banana breads, tried lilikoi ice cream, and local chocolate. The dark chocolate is not good at all imo, but still a cool experience.

Book this instead of cruise line excursion!!

Thomas was extremely knowledgeable, and told us where to look throughout the drive, as he stopped throughout our journey. We stopped at multiple little places including for ice cream, a farmstand for banana bread, and of course to see waterfalls and beaches. We were able to see not only sea turtles but a monk seal on the black sand beach as well. There was enough time for walking around and exploring each location in our own, but Thomas told us the best places to go when we arrived at each stop. Lunch was great and he had plenty of chips and water too. More than enough stops for bathroom breaks too! Thomas drove carefully and as one who is prone to being carsick, I had no problems along the windy drive. Thomas seemed to know locals, including one who gave us the bananas off his cart that he just cut down! Saved almost $200 by booking through viator instead of through the cruise ship. Would do this tour again for sure and would recommend to anyone who wants to see Maui and has all day to do so!
