We did the road to Hana, it was an amazing road trip!! Start early to get the most out of the day. The road conditions were awesome!! No potholes, if you enjoy driving, it was literally 3 hours 1 direction, total of 6 and a 1/2 hours. We found the roads to be windy and exhilarating, if you like Go-Kart driving, this road is amazing!
When we went, there was little to no traffic. We enjoyed every twist and turn of this road. It was fantastic. There were no road hazand, the scenic view was absolutely breath-taking! We would recommend this drive for anyone who loves to drive!! A wonderful road to drive!!
Now, if you're one of those timid drivers who are afraid of corners, this is not the road for you.
The self driving tour was very helpful in navigating the different points of interest and helping us to find our way there. We drove to the top first then stopped at the different points on the way down. We took our own pace learning and stopping as we did the route. The app was very informative on the history and culture of Maui. We would have liked to be able to use the app in reverse to guide us back to some of the interest points we missed on our way up. Overall, We'll worth it.
Perfect way to do the road to Hana on your own

Very helpful. Lots of interesting facts! Told us which sights were “must see” and which ones required tickets. It was great to be able to do the trip ourselves rather than be tied to a tour group’s pace.
Highly recommend!!!
Don't go without it!

This guide was great! Worked perfect and had lots of info. I would have missed a lot of stops if not for this.
Worth it!

This is well worth the money. It gave us history and told us about places and things coming up as we drove. We would have missed so much without it! I highly recommend this!
Listening on the road to Hana

The audio app was very helpful. It gave us a brief history of upcoming sights. It paused while we visited sights. The voice was clear. I'm very happy with this purchase. Of course, the views were amazing; however, the drive to Hana more treacherous than expected.
