Overview

Join us for an exhilarating snorkel aboard the all new REEF EXPLORER, Maui's only luxury SUPER RAFT and snorkel the world famous Molokini Crater. Enjoy a full hour of snorkeling in this partially submerged volcanic crater, and view over 250 different species of reef fish and coral formations. REEF EXPLORER is a state of the art, 60 ft Super Raft, which arrives to Molokini Crater in less than 30 minutes. This allows guests more time to snorkel in a private setting, away from crowds. Our second snorkel stop is at our favorite "Turtle Cove", where we swim and observe the abundant population of Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles that make this cove home.  Tour includes pastries, deli wrap lunch, chips, granola bars, bottled water, sparkling water, Aloha juice, soft drinks, all snorkel gear and flotation devices.

Meeting points

Check in at Ma'alaea Harbor loading dock, located at the very end of the pier by the biodiesel station. The boat is yellow, and will dock at 7:30 am for boarding. All seating is first come, first serve. Please allow enough time to park prior to check in.

Itinerary

Snorkel the world famous Molokini Crater aboard Reef Explorer - Maui’s newest custom built Super Raft. This ultra smooth ride arrives to Molokini Crater in record speed, staying away from crowds while gliding effortlessly above the water! Once in Molokini, snorkel with over 250 species of reef fish and coral inside this partially submerged volcanic crater, and enjoy a leisurely lunch. From there, our friendly and knowledgeable guides will take you to a secluded turtle cove, where you will swim with graceful Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. Our favorite turtle cove is not accessible to large tour boats, which allows a completely private experience where we often see up to one dozen turtles at a time! All snorkel gear, lunch, snacks and flotation provided - All you have to do is hop onboard and have fun!

Simply AMAZING!

We went out on the boat today and had an absolutely AMAZING day!!! We were able to see tons of Humpback whales, swim with many green sea turtles and snorkeled in the crystal clear Molokini Crater! Captain Ryan was so knowledgable and was excited to share it with us. This tour far exceeded our expectations and we can’t wait to return next year!!!

The guides took us out on a small boat with about ten other people. They were knowledgeable, friendly, and we got a bonus experience with the humpback whales on the way out and the way in to the the snorkeling spot. So, so cool!!

Everything we hoped for. Small group of guests. Friendly, knowledgeable staff who made us feel special. It was windy so no crater BUT we traveled to the backside of the crater and experienced colors and tropical fish that was unmatched anywhere! We werent near other boats or tourists. Lots of whales! And they’re young. Turtles abounded. Thank you so much!

Maui snorkel, whale watch, and sea turtle adventure

Captain Brad and Esteban were fantastic. They took us to see humpback whales, sea turtles, and amazing snorkeling spots. Even though waves and winds were too high to safely snorkel the crater, they took us to fantastic alternative reefs where sea life was abundant.
