Overview

I have a lifetimes experience of this area , as this is my Garden of Eden. I have lived here in troms region for the last 50 years. And i have taught my guides all that i know about the area. And i would love to share this beautiful landscape that we call "Heaven On Earth" with you. Listen to ancient folklore stories ,photograph and see the landscapes ,wildlife the way i do everyday.

Fantastic Scenery and Insight into Fjord Culture Past and Present

This was a fantastic experience. We were keen to see something of the surrounding fjord area and were recommended this tour by the tourist office representative that visited the hotel. In fact as it turned out there were just three of us on the tour, expertly driven and guided by our driver Freddie. It was a real privilege to spend time in his company - imparting stories from his childhood as well as providing insight and commentary that only someone who was local to the fjord area could. No question was too trivial and he was happy to stop wherever we wanted as long as it was safe. Given the snow covered conditions, we were treated to some impressive views but also left feeling we had a much better understanding of the fjord settlement culture both present and past. When we returned to Tromso we felt very much as if we had been on a day trip with a friend rather than an organised tour. If you are the sort of person who likes scenery and would like to see a different part of the Tromso region - or just leave teh commercialisation of activity tours behind - then we can recommend this trip more highly

Great tour! We went to many amazing spots for photos. Got the chance to see reindeer and stratospheric clouds. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Would take a tour with this company again!

Brilliant day out, scenery was great as was the photo tips on using your phone/ camera. Local guide who grew up locally and really shared her knowledge of the area. Small group in a mini bus so could go to and park where bigger coaches couldn't. Would recommend!

The highlight of our tour was our guide Marianne! Her direct no-nonsense style made it first hard to figure what she was like. But after a little time with her we found her very interesting and engaging, a good storyteller and someone we could trust to give her best effort to make our tour a good experience. She was funny and had a good sense of humor and we had many good laughs together. Being a passionate photographer herself she knew exactly where to steer us to get magnificent as well as unusual photos. Being seniors that needed a little help, we appreciated her helping hand to move safely through the slippery snow and ice. This was easily the most enjoyable tour we had on our 17-day vacation.
