Itinerary

  • Fatima

    This Marian pilgrimage center evokes the apparitions of Our Lady to the three shepherd children LĂşcia, Francisco and Jacinta, which occurred in 1917 and recognized in 1930. The place was a rural property, called Cova da Iria, and belonged to LĂşcia's parents, who sponsored it to the sanctuary. It was here that five of the six apparitions took place. The Sanctuary includes the Chapel of Apparitions, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, the Prayer Room and the Basilica of the Holy Trinity. Complementing the Sanctuary are the Retreat Houses of Our Lady of Sorrows and Our Lady of Mount Carmel and the Paul VI Pastoral Center. It is one of the most important Marian shrines belonging to the Catholic Church in the world and one of the main international destinations for religious tourism, receiving around six million visitors per year. It was visited by Popes Paul VI (1967), John Paul II (1982, 1991 and 2000), Benedict XVI (2010) and Francis (2017 and 2023).

  • Batalha Monastery

    Best example of Gothic architecture in Portugal built in the 17th century. XIV during the victory in the Battle of Aljubarrota, we hope with this visit to understand the importance of this battle in Portugal's independence from the Spanish. Of late Gothic construction, the result of the wise management of the great Portuguese and international masters, from its founder Afonso Domingues, to the brilliant Huguet, ending in the “Manueline style” of Mateus Fernandes, in the Chapel of the Founders and the “ Imperfect Chapels”, Pantheon of Kings and princes marked by the scholasticism of the Dominican friars who represent the Celestial City.

    Fishing village of Nazaré (the most charismatic fishing village in Portugal), where we can see the fish drying up on the beach, as well as the life of the ladies with the “seven skirts” proudly shown by themselves. Today Nazaré is also known for its giant waves, yes the biggest waves in the world are here in Portugal. All thanks to the phenomenon of the Nazaré Canyon, phenomenal waves that made Nazaré famous throughout the world, in 2013 the American surfer McNamara broke the world record by surfing a wave of around 30 meters high, depending on the period of the year we can see them with our eyes.

  • Castelo de Obidos

    Time to pass through one of the most beautiful villages in Portugal, within the walls of a medieval castle. Ă“bidos belonged to the defensive pentagon of the five Castles, this by the hands of the Templars, later used as a wedding gift from D. Dinis to his wife D. Isabel, the town became part of the Casa das Rainhas, most of the Portuguese queens in Portugal financed themselves here, leaving great benefits there as well. Here we are also going to discover one of the best known and most appreciated liqueurs, the Ă“bidos ginja, let's go!!!

Memorable day trip from Lisbon

Anastasiya was our tour guide , and she was excellent as was the tour. Initially we went to the Shrine of Fatima, admiring its grandeur and its profound holiness. We further went to the village where the children who witnessed the Virgin Mary were raised. We then saw the dramatic Monastery of Batalha, after which we travelled to Nazares and then onto Obidas. Thorough, informative and memorable tour. Anastasiya was very professional and punctual.

Very well paced private tour. Anastácia was amazing. She is so friendly and a wealth of knowledge about the country, its history and culture. Now if you want to eat something special the region around Fátima is known for, ask Anastácia to take you to the restaurant where suckling pig is their specialty! So yummy…
