When entering El Yunque, we will take a scenic drive through the National Park. Climbing in elevation, enjoy views of the peak above and ocean below! En route to a private access point on Rio Pitahaya, we will pass Rio Mameyes, Puente Roto, and the Angelito Trail Head. Upon arrival at Las Paylas you will be introduced to a natural playground with something for everyone! With a hidden waterfall, cave, 2 waterslides, and natural pool, there is no more refreshing or exhilarating way to enjoy an afternoon! If adventure is not your style, worry not! No guest has to partake in any activity they are not comfortable with. After El Yunque, wind down at Luquillo Beach and Los Kioskos. Soak in the culture and essence of Puerto Rico with amazing food, drinks, and music on the ocean!

Catering to residents, utility workers, commercial drivers, and anyone passing by, Frutera Flores has served up the best smoothies, fresh fruit, and authentic Puerto Rican food in Luquillo for decades. Grab a fresh mango, avocado, alcapurrias, empanadas, or hot dish to go! La Frutera Flores will also have restroom access, drinks, souvenirs, and last minute items before entering the forest!

El Yunque National Forest

Enjoy a ride through El Yunque National Park with views of the peak above and ocean below. Soak in the scenery, history, and culture as we pass through Rio Mameyes, Puente Roto, and the Angelito Trail Head, en route to our private access point. Once reaching our trail, we will embark on a moderate 15-20 minute walk through the canopy of the rainforest. Engulf yourself in nature's beauty and the soundscape of local birds and the famous coqui! The payoff waiting for you at trail's end is the refreshing waters of El Yunque! Enjoy the locally coveted Las Paylas natural waterslide and waterpark for an exhilarating experience like no other. With access to 2 natural waterslides, a hidden waterfall, natural pool, and cave, there is something for every level of adventurer here! Or, enjoy the ambiance from afar and feel the excitement and energy of those partaking! Either way you will get an authentic feel of what Puerto Rico's national treasure has to offer.

Playa Luquillo

After enjoying your time in the Rainforest walking and swimming in the pristine waterways, its time to head to the popular Luquillo Beach. Put your toes in the sand or take a dip in the Atlantic Ocean as the sun starts to set on a beautiful day. Kioskos de Luquillo is located at Luquillo Beach and about a 2 minute walk from the ocean and sand. Guests will have a total of 2 hours to enjoy the beach, shops, restaurants and bars before heading back to the San Juan area!

End your afternoon by indulging in the best of Puerto Rican culture. Smells, sounds, and tastes are abundant at Los Kioskos, a strip of restaurants and souvenir shops that house some of the best food on the island! Kick back with a refreshment in hand and let the sun set on a most memorable day in paradise. Kioskos de Luquillo is located at Luquillo Beach and about a 2 minute walk from the ocean and sand. Guests will have a total of 2 hours to enjoy the beach, shops, restaurants and bars before heading back to the San Juan area!

The total duration of the tour from pickup to drop off is 6 - 8 hours depending on pickup location, traffic, and the pace of the group. . For the 10:30 am tour expect to return 4:30-5:30 pm. For the 12:30 pm tour expect to return 6:30 to 7:30 pm.
This adventure does not enter the ticketed section of El Yunque National Forest, managed by the U.S. Forest Service. Guests will not be required to purchase additional tickets.
This adventure does not make the 2 hour hike to the peak or towers as that trail may not be suitable for all of our guests.
The minimum age to attend this tour is 4 years old. Guests who are not 4 years old or older will not be permitted to attend the tour and will forfeit any cost associated with their ticket.
The nature walk is a moderate walk through the natural terrain of El Yunque. When there is rain in the rainforest, the trail can become muddy and the walk will be more challenging. We recommend travelers wear a bathing suit under comfortable clothes, a pair of shoes you don't mind getting wet with a pair of sandals or water shoes to change into, and a towel to dry off.
Guest will be able to leave belongings on the bus. The tour provider will not be held responsible for items or belongings lost or damaged during this adventure
El Yunque Rainforest is monitored by the Puerto Rican Government. If conditions become hazardous and a portion of El Yunque is closed to preserve the safety of guests, the tour provider will extend the time at Luquillo Beach and Los Kioskos.

We had so much fun! Gabriel and Rafy were the best guides ever, super informative and made safety a priority. My friend did not want to get in the water and it ended up being totally optional on the tour, as gabriel said “highly encouraged, but not necessary” We had an amazing time and will recommend it to anyone who wants to see the forest and have some fun on the natural water slides, the second half of the tour we were able to go visit the beach and shops and restaurants. We got some delicious crab pastelillos and pina coladas.

Papichulo is the one who really made for a great experience! His charisma & humor was perfect for the group that I was with. I would definitely recommend wearing water shoes over sneakers, the grip is important for the trail. I wouldn’t recommend for those who don’t plan on participating, remember, this is a WATER ACTIVITY

Loved this tour! Really enjoyed the natural water slides and the beach the tour guides took us to. Would definitely recommend doing this tour if you’re in Puerto Rico!

We had a great experience. I am 58 and in decent shape, and manged the hike and the slides without much difficlty. Pick up was on time and easy. Our guide Ryan (Papiculo) was amazing! So fun, as well as informative. He kept us laughing and helped us navigate the trickier terrain. He made sure we got the best experience while staying safe. The stops for food and the beach were perfect. This is a great excursion if you're looking for a short but challenging hike, watersides, some beach time and lots of great food/drink options along the way. Thank you, Papichulo, for a great day!
