Overview

Board a double decker tram in Puebla and travel to Cholula, a "Magical Town" where you will be able to live prehispanic and colonial times culture. In this panoramic tour, see from the Tram, the largest pyramid in the world; Stop to visit the temples of Santa Maria Tonanzintla and San Francisco Acatepec and the San Pedro Cholula zocalo. You will have time on your own to visit the pyramid (admission not included), the San Gabriel Convent, Capilla Real, Casa del Caballero Aguila.

  • Great Pyramid of Cholula (Pass By)

    Desde nuestro tranvía podrá disfrutar de maravillosas vistas de la Pirámide de Cholula, la más grande del Mundo en cuanto al tamaño de la base.

  • Templo de Santa Maria Tonantzintla

    Es la muestra del Barroco popular en su máxima expresión. El emplo es del Siglo XVI y "Tonanzintla" significa "Lugar de nuestra madrecita". En la cultura prehispánica Tonantzi es uno de los nombres de la diosa del maiz y está asociada a la protección de los hombres. Sin duda, este templo es uno de los más hermosos y extraordinarios de México, pues muestra el Barroco Mexicano en su máxima expresión: decorada con maíz y ángeles morenos con rasgos indígenas.

  • Templo San Francisco Acatepec

    El templo muestra el barroco mexicano. Entre 1650 y 1750 fue decorada por los alfareros poblanos con mosaicos de Talavera Poblana dando una belleza única en México.

  • Plaza de la Concordia

    En este punto podrás visitar por tu cuenta varios atractivos. Comenzando por el Portal Guerrero con más de 46 arcos de medio punto que suman 170 metros, uno de los más largos del continente. También podrás visitar el Ex Convento de San Gabriel, de los más antiguos del país construido sobre las ruinas del Templo de Quetzalcóatl. Dentro podrás admirar unos frescos que datan de 1533 y pinturas de la vida de San Francisco de Asís. Junto al Ex Convento se encuentra la Capilla Real construida en 1540 para adoctrinar a los indígenas. Su belleza radica en sus 49 cúpulas. Tambiién podrás visitar la Casa del Caballero Aguila donde constantemente se exponen pinturas y obras de arte. Finalmente, en este punto tendrás tiempo libre para visitar también por tu cuenta la pirámide de Cholula (entrada no incluida) así como para disfrutar de la gastronomía local.

Cholula was the highlight of our Puebla visit

It was our first time to Puebla and Cholula. This tour begins in Puebla and brings you through the prettiest sections on the way to Cholula. There were 4 of us english speakers on our tour, as well as several spanish speakers. Roni, our tour guide, was especially helpful and attentive. He shared his vast historical knowledge and information of the indigenous people and the Spanish/Catholic conquest. The four churches (out of 37!) we toured were unique and beautiful. Our only regret was we took the tour on Monday and the Great Pyramid of Cholula was closed.

We had an English speaking guide named Alberto He knew everything about Mexican history, He was a history graduate. We were interested in the Mexican Revolution He filled us in on lots of the history And that was before touring the churches and the pyramid! It was a perfect tour Much, much information

Our English speaking guide was wonderful amd so knowledgeable about the area! The only disappointing part is that the ruins were closed because of a holiday.
