Overview

We drive to Serra d'Água on our way to São Vicente, with fantastic views over the north of the island including an amazing off-road in the heart of nature. Then, you will have a sustainable experience at the bee honey museum, where you’ll taste organic bee honey and enjoying beautiful panoramic views. Then we go to the heart of Madeira's wine region, where you'll be guided across the vineyards, learning about the rich history, culture and typical production techniques. Later, you will taste a selection of one rose, three whites, and two red wines with Portuguese cheese and chorizo. (Lunch not included) Cabo Girão, one of the highest sea cliffs of the world at 580 meters, offers a spectacular panoramic view over the Atlantic (not included 2€). Then we finish our tour at Henriques & Henriques Madeira Wine Lodge, to taste the famous Madeira wines: Sweet and Dry (3 years old), Sweet (10 years old) and Dry (15 years old) included. A perfect tour inspired by nature and wine lovers.

Highly recommended day out in Madeira

We had a wonderful day out on this tour. Our driver Diogo Camacho took us from one side of Madeira to the other, stopping at great places for views and photos. We went off piste for a while, which I wasn’t expecting which added a little excitement to the trip. We visited a honey museum and two wineries as well as the sky walk. What a great day out with very enjoyable company with our fellow travellers.

This trip was beyond value for money. Rui our tour guide had so much knowledge to share through the day. When one of our stops were unavailable, he was able to source a plan b promptly. I would highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic day seeing the central mountainous area of Madeira and experiencing the thrills of an off-road 4x4 steep hill drive! Our guide Diogo C was so friendly and fun and made it a brilliant trip. He is one hell of a driver! The views are spectacular, like being in Jurassic Park. There was even a little stop at the tiny honey museum perched atop the mountains with the chance to sample delicious local honey. The winery tour was interesting and both tasting destinations gave us a real flavour of Madeira wine. We were lucky to have a chatty, interesting group and the lunch we shared overlooking Seixal coast was delicious. Highly recommend this particular tour to anyone visiting Madeira!
