Overview

Visiting this Magical Town is simply an aromatic and multicolored adventure. This town is home to the extraordinary multicultural music and dance festival Huey Atlixcayotl, as well as the Ex Convento del Carmen, the Church of La Merced dating from 1680, the chapel of the Third Order with its magnificent altarpiece and endless monuments full of history. This ancient indigenous capital, guarded by the Popocatépetl volcano, is in fact two cities, San Pedro and San Andrés; the seat of the largest pyramid in Mesoamerica; with almost a million cubic meters, experts say that it is bigger than that of Giza Pre-Hispanic shrines, Mudejar arches, baroque domes, convent-fortresses and boundless indigenous creativity coexist in the spiritual and artistic explosion of what is now Cholula.

    At this stop, we will explore the Great Pyramid of Cholula, the largest pyramid in the world by its base—an impressive archaeological site that served as a significant pre-Hispanic ceremonial center. You’ll walk through its interior tunnels and learn about its construction and ritual use by ancient civilizations. At the summit of the pyramid stands the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Remedies, a symbol of the cultural fusion between indigenous and colonial traditions. From this vantage point, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl volcanoes and the Cholula Valley. Amazing private tours

We used Unlimited for 3 different tours and airport pick-up from CDMX. First, the pick-up was easy and punctual. The food tour and 2 custom private tours were fabulous. Susana was our guide on all 3 and can't say enough good things about her; informative, prepared, friendly, passionate about the topic, flexible, etc. Highly recommend!

I enjoyed my Cholula Tour with Susana and Unlimited Experiences so much, I booked another tour with them the following day! Susana was a such a friendly guide, very professional, and tailored both tours around my interests! The sights were beautiful and the restaurants were excellent. They took COVID precautions very seriously and were always quick in answering all of my questions. I highly recommend this company when visiting Puebla!
