Overview

Cholula is considered the oldest city in America. Here is the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Remedies, the church with domes covered with tiles that the Spaniards built in the 16th century. They placed it just above the Great Pyramid, the basement that looks more like an archaeological site. The days go down and come, the people, the life. Templo de Santa Maria Tonantzintla

On this tour we will visit the Church of Santa Maria Tonantzintla, a jewel of indigenous Baroque art that will leave you speechless. Perfect Cholula Experience

Our guide, Danna, and our driver, Alberto provided the perfect Cholula experience. We visited the Cholula archaeological museum, and the archaeological zone, visited amazing churches, had a taste of local liqueurs, and got to know all about the beautiful Talavera tiles. Danna was the perfect guide, and her knowledge of the history and geography of the area made this an absolutely wonderful tour.

Alexa was a wonderful guide. Very knowledgeable about the history of Cholula and also Puebla. My brother and I learned a great deal about the site, including the church that sits above the ruins. We are both in our 70's and I was pretty slow. Alexa was very patient and encouraging. I am so glad we took this tour. Also, 2 more excellent churches were included and we had mezcal and tequilla tastings, too. Highly recommend the service of Alexa and our driver, Alberto!

Fabulous tour! Damian was such a kind and interesting tour guide with excellent English. We saw the museum, pyramid, and two churches and also stopped at a small store with lovely Talavera pottery at an excellent price. Damian was full of stories and interesting explanations about everything we saw. He was a fount of knowledge. We’d love to take more tours with him in the future. The driver was also safe, courteous, and very kind.
