Cruise through Balsfjorden on S/Y Stella Oceana and explore stunning fjords, snow-capped mountains, and remote villages. The yacht offers luxury and comfort for up to 12 guests. Enjoy a local reindeer soup lunch, with a vegetarian option available upon 24-hour notice. Spot wildlife such as eagles, dolphins, seals, and various birds. Our crew is ready to answer questions about the surroundings and local history. Dress warmly to enjoy the view from the outer decks, or relax inside with books, games, and unlimited coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water, and cookies. You can upgrade your tour to include a polar plunge and private time in the outdoor hot tub. Routes and distances vary with weather and polar plunge participation.

Meeting points

Head over to the harbor and look for S/Y Stella Oceana, a white, 100 foot sailing yacht with 2 wooden rigs docked right in front of the Fiskekompaniet restaurant. Check in starts 15 minutes prior to the departure time at the harbor where the boat is docked.

Absolutely incredible

INCREDIBLE! MEMORABLE! Truly, a CORE MEMORY. We had an incredible time. The views of Tromsø from the water are hard to beat. During our tour we saw seals! They provided binoculars as well for better viewing. The food was incredible, the reindeer soup is one you won’t forget. It was warm and cozy inside the boat, you could curl up and take a nap it was so nice. We booked the hot tub as well, totally totally worth it. We even opted to jump in the fjord before using the hot tub! Can’t think of a better polar plunge. A trip I will carry with me for a lifetime.

A relaxing boat trip with beautiful scenery. We went in the hot tub on the deck which was wonderful and we have some great pictures. The reindeer soup was the best one I tried, as it was properly and skilfully home made. Very accommodating hosts. We had a lovely time on this boat.

The host of the Yacht were excellent, very welcoming and knowledgeable. The Yacht was very clean and warm inside, there were games to play if you didnt want to stand outside, tea/coffee/water/hot chocolate on hand. The food was lovely too. The host arranged the various parties so they had private time in the hot tub, it was well co-ordinated and didnt feel rushed. The trip lasted around 4 hours, with an opportunity to take a polar plunge if you were brave enough - which was perfect. Overall the we all had a fantastic experience and i would recommend this trip

The views were amazing! The crew were really nice and the reindeer soup was absolutely incredible! We loved the whole experience and will remember it for years to come. We also did the optional polar plunge and the hot tub. If you are taking this tour I highly recommend doing it, it’s a great experience to do with friends or family. Overall a fantastic experience and totally worth it!
