Overview

This is the best half day mountain tour to get out of Denver and see the mountains without spending an entire day touring. These small group tours are designed to get you out to See, Learn and Explore not just drive past. This tour really highlights the best of our Denver Mountain Park system. Visit Red Rocks Park and amphitheater, then travel up into the mountains via  Bear Creek Canyon to the quaint mountain town of Evergreen.  Browse the local shops or enjoy a quick drink in the Saloon, winery, or local coffee shop. Witness beautiful Rocky Mountain vistas while climbing over a beautiful mountain pass to  Echo Lake at 10,600 ft.  Stroll around this beautiful glacial lake sitting at the base of 14,256 foot Mt. Blue Sky and enjoy the mountain scenery.  Travel by historic Genesee Mountain Park while viewing herds of Buffalo and Elk on your way back into Denver.  *Wildlife viewing not guaranteed.

  • Access into the amphitheatre is dependent on sound check closures by performers the day of. We recommend taking our morning tour for best chances of accessing the inside of the amphitheatre itself during concert seasons.

A beautiful half day in the moubtains

Excellent experience. Our guide, Phil, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, personable, and patient. We learned a lot about the area andsaw all sorts of beautiful vistas and wildlife. Perfect amount of time as well. Could not recommend this or Phil highly enough! You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful taste of Denver and the Rockies

We loved this tour! Our guide and driver Will was a fount of knowledge about the entire area we visited. He took us easily and safely through rush hour expressways and snowy, slippery side roads. We saw the world famous Red Rock Amphitheater, had time for a delicious lunch in quaint Evergreen, and experienced blowing snow and below freezing temperatures at a frozen lake. All in one afternoon! Will took good care of all his passengers and gave us helpful tips at each stop to help us get the most out of each location. Fantastic!!

I loved this tour! I like that it was a half-day tour and we got to explore each area we stopped in. Our tour guide, Will, was very helpful in taking photos, offering advice, and helping us put the rubber snow cleats on our shoes (we’re not from a snowy area lol). I only wish we had a little more time to explore the town of Evergreen. It was a great tour for me and my boyfriend and I thought it to be reasonably priced. I’d never stood on a frozen lake before so that was awesome!

Matthew was an amazing guide! We learned so much about the area. We loved every part of the tour from learning about and seeing Red Rocks Amphitheater to walking on frozen Echo Lake to spending some time in Evergreen. Highly recommend this tour!
