If you want an EXCLUSIVELY LOCAL bar hopping in Tokyo, then Koenji is the best place for you! This place is considered to be one of the best nomiya-gai (drinking districts) in Japan! However, this place is not promoted to overseas tourists, thus the menu and staff are rarely offered in English. The first bar will introduce you to sake, and you will experience tasting as well. The guides will open you up to a local tour that no other tour provides. ※ Koenji is 4 stops from Shinjuku Sta. on the Sobu Line (track 16 / Yellow line / JR) it only takes about 10 minutes from Japan's mega-downtown area and accessibility is high!

What To Expect

1. Koenji Nakadori Shotengai Enjoy Yakitori (Japanese chicken skewer) at a local izakaya in western Koenji! 1 hour

2. Koenji Junjo Shotengai Experience sake tasting with friendly guides! You will visit an "all you can drink" Sake bar, and get tips on how to properly drink sake, as well as knowledge of the unique history and production processes of Sake! The area maintains retro aesthetics and provides experiences of Japan's authentic nightlife! 1 hour

3. Koenji Pal Shopping Street We will end the tour by visiting the deepest part of Koenji. Under the train tracks of the Chuoh Line, rests multiple exclusively local izakaya's and bars that are not exposed to foreign travelers. we will have a few drinks and end the tour!! 45 minutes
