The eruption of Mt. Vesuvius of 79 a.D. was one of the largest natural disasters of the past. Thanks to that, nowadays, we are able to visit a very good preserved roman town dating back to the Roman Empire. You need a guided tour to bring the place alive, especially given the size of the sight (approx 160 acres) Experience daily life in Pompeii with our expert archeological guides.   • Pompeii Archaeological Park

    Pompeii, with its 66 hectares of which about 50 excavated, is a unique set of civil and private buildings, monuments, sculptures, paintings and mosaics of such importance for the history of archaeology and antiquity to be recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. A ticket not included in the tour is required to access the Archaeological Park and, consequently, the tour.

  • Foro de Pompeya

    You will visit the main center of political, religious, civil and economic life of the ancient city with its temples and public buildings. Here we will also admire the famous "plaster casts" (frozen bodies). Don't forget to take a picture of the Forum with Mount Vesuvius!

    The temple of Apollon is one of the most ancient temples of the city. Restored not a long time ago,it is offering a spectacular view on Mount Vesuvius. The temple is dedicated to the god of the sun and its twin sister Diana, goddess of the moon.

    The temple of Jupiter, Juno and Minerva is one of the most famous of Pompeii for its view on Mount Vesuvius. Don't miss a picture of it!

    Walking along the main commercial street of the ancient Pompeii you will see shops, houses and public fountains.

  • Casa del Fauno

    The house of the Faun with its 32000 square feets is the largest house of the ancient Pompeii. Here you will admire gardens, multicolor mosaics. One of them is that of "Alexander the Great", work of art of the antiquity.

    Visiting the small theater you will admire details like the precious marble floor. This theater was used for music and poetry.

Alessandro took our group of 4 on a 2-hour tour of the main sights of Pompeii. He met us at the train station and had already purchased our tickets, so arrival and entrance were very easy. He clearly knows so much about the subject and explained everything clearly (in English) and with such enthusiasm.
