Overview

We begin by picking you up at your hotel in Mérida, traveling by private car to take you to visit the archaeological zones of Uxmal, Kabah, Sayil, and Labná. Our certified guides will give you important details and information about the beautiful Puuc route. The Puuc style is considered one of the most beautiful and refined architectural styles that consists of a fine decorative technique based on polished mosaics that make up masks, geometric figures, different animals, plants and fretwork.

The Fiesta Americana hotel is in the hotel zone very close to the monument to the homeland, if you tell us which hotel you are in we can come pick you up. Our driver guide will wear a shirt with the logo of a pyramid and the name Esplendor Yucatán. ... 1:15 HRS. transfer from your hotel in Mérida to the first archaeological zone that we will visit (Uxmal), at the end of our meal it will take 1:15 HRS. to return.   • Zona Arqueologica Uxmal

    We will visit the nuns’ quadrangle, the birds’ quadrangle, the governor’s palace, as well as the soothsayer’s pyramid.

  • Zona Arqueologica de Kabah

    We will visit the Codz Pop decorated with hundreds of masks dedicated to Chaac (rain deity) and the palace where the royal family lived.

  • Zona Arqueologica de Sayil

    We will visit the great North Palace, the viewpoint and the stele of the god of fertility.

  • Labna

    The main attraction of Labná is a finely decorated false or projecting arch, a true architectural gem.

The Ruins of Ruta Pac

Claudia was amazing! She was a knowledgeable guide, friendly and bi-lingual. She took us to see all 4 sites before the crowds, it felt like walking into the ruins alone. The sites were breathtaking, you can get close up and see how the culture changed with time. It is a lot of walking so comfortable shoes is a must and i wouldn't do this tour during heat. We did it in December and i think anything hotter would be uncomfortable. On the plus, Claudia had cold bottled water and a nice new suv with the ac on each time we got in the car. After the sites she took us to a restaurant for lunch, they had vegetarian options not just a play of veggies which I appreciate and my parter had a traditional pork meal which he said was great. This tour is worth the money and time. See if you can get Claudia she was the best.

Ruta Puuc in a day

We learned a lot during our trip through Ruta Puuc. It’s a nice collection of pyramids and ruins of palaces. It’s not crowded and we’re so glad to start at Uxmal first early in the morning. At each site, our tour guide Claudia really took the time to explain the history, who might have lived there and how their lives would’ve been. Claudia was such a trooper from picking us up early in the morning at our hotel and did lots and lots of walking with us. Late lunch at a local place at the end of the tour before getting dropped off at the hotel was a nice bonus. Comfortable shoes and sun umbrella is definitely a must. Highly recommended this tour.
