Overview

Leave Mérida to go to one of the 7 new wonders of the world, Chichen Itzá, an enigmatic city and ceremonial center. Chichen Itzá, which in Mayan means "Mouth of the well of the water sorcerers" is an enigmatic city and ceremonial center of significant influence. Get to know everything about this incredible archaeological site and its ancient history. First, head directly to Chichén Itzá from Mérida, and during the ride, the guide will start telling you a bit about the Mayan's and their history. Once at Chichén Itzá be ready to admire this site before the crowds and heat arrive. Have free time to explore this unique archaeological site, which has the protection of UNESCO. After visiting Chichen Itzá, taste a delicious Mexican buffet lunch and recharge energies before heading to the Cenote. Next stop will be a beautiful cenote where you will enjoy its magical and warm waters where you can bathe and cool off from the heat. We will finish the tour by returning to Mérida.

A great way to spend the day

We really enjoyed our time with our guide in Chichèn Itza. Miguel was very knowledgeable about the culture. He spent a lot of time going over the history of the structures and the links between the Aztecs and the Mayans. I would 100% recommend them if you’re looking for an informative and fun tour. 10/10

Miguel was amazing! He was really knowledgeable and spoke well in both english and spanish, consistently switching and explaining in both languages. It was a lovely trip and me and my mom both had so much fun!
