Absolutely amazing!! This walking tour covered everything we wanted to see in Osaka. Our tour guide, Taku, first walked us around the Osaka castle grounds. We got to see the castle from different view points, the gardens, and a Shinto shrine. Taku offered to take pictures throughout and gave knowledgeable explanations of everything we saw. Taku also brought a presentation book with interesting facts and history about Osaka castle and Osaka as a city. We learned how to respectfully enter and pray at the shrines. After Osaka Castle we went to Dotonbori and walked through the seafood market, kitchenware market, and shopping center. The sights were beautiful and we especially enjoyed the Wagyu beef bites and takoyaki. Something that we really appreciated throughout the tour is that Taku was very flexible and allowed time to stop at any shops/sights that we wanted along the walk and was very kind throughout. My husband and I are visiting from the United States and we only had one day available to explore Osaka. This was the perfect tour for such a tight timeframe! We highly recommend!

We took this tour with Taku as we had a free day in Osaka from our two week Tripadeal tour. Taku met us at our hotel and was flexible with his itinerary to take into account the experiences we had already seen. He brought historical fact sheets with him so we could refer to these along the way. We visited the Osaka Castle which was beautiful but we didn’t go in because we had already seen Himeji castle a couple of days before. Taku took us to the best photo spots away from the crowds. We then took the subway to the Kuromon food market where Taku helped us sample sashimi, sushi, wagyu, soy doughnuts and rice cakes. He paid for most of these for us. After that we went to the kitchen goods marketplace and Taku helped us buy some goods to take home. After that we walked through the tiny laneways to show us shrines and temples we would otherwise not have found as well as spots where Japanese puppetry used to take place and then finally finished up at the centre of Dotonbori. We enjoyed our day with Taku and would recommend.

We had a wonderful day exploring Osaka with Taku. He arrived at our hotel on time and led us off on our journey with confidence. Taku assisted us in buying our Metro tickets and led us to Osaka Castle where he shared his knowledge of this landmark. We really enjoyed our time with Kumiko as our guide. We would have never ridden the subway or found all the amazing food ourselves. With Kumiko’s help I was able to shop for souvenirs for the grandkids. Overall I would highly recommend this tour. Do keep in mind that there is a lot of walking. She also met us at the cruise docking port which was a huge plus.

Kumiko is a very knowledgeable guide and generously shared her local experiences. She shared with us her best tips and stalls to eat at the markets and other tips on how to get around and where to shop.
