    This 3-hour food journey will start with a visit to the Shinto shrine in Shinsekai. You will learn how Shinto is related to the lives of Japanese people at this shrine, which millions visit every New Year season! As you step into the heart of Shinsekai, you'll encounter an old bustling commercial district with the Tsutenkaku Tower as its symbol. Over 60 years ago, when this 103-meter observation tower was built, it caused great excitement among the people of Osaka. Enjoying Kushi-katsu in the center of Shinsekai before heading to Dotonbori, you'll feel the nostalgic atmosphere of this town!

    Take photos in front of Tsutenkaku in Shinsekai The official character of Tsutenkaku Tower is “Billiken”. It is known as a tourist attraction and symbol tower of Osaka. The name “Tsutenkaku” means “a tall building that reaches to the heavens”[ and was named by Meiji-era Confucian scholar Fujisawa Nangaku.

A very good tour and foodie experience in Osaka.

This foodie tour was a superior experience to that offered by the same company in Kyoto. To begin with it was much better value for money. The dining options were interesting and of good quality. The tour guide was knowledgeable (which was not the case with the Kyoto Night Foodie Tour guide).

Great tour with Tea, very laid back and not rushed which I appreciated from some of the other tours I have been on in Japan. The pancakes were awesome and the stop off for some old school games was pretty cool. Would highly recommend his tour for a solo traveler.

We had a great tour with our guide, Taku, who stepped in at the last minute. 10 minutes before the tour was due to start we were called to say our guide had to cancel, but they had someone to step in that could be there in 90 mins. While a bit annoying as we were already at the meeting point, we decided to go ahead with the tour later in the evening. It seems all the other guests cancelled so we ended up having a private tour with Taku which was brilliant. He took us around Shinsekai and gave loads of information. It was also great talking to him about Japanese life and culture. He spoke brilliant English so there was no language barrier. The tour was a great experience thanks to Taku, so despite the initial delay it all turned out for the best.
