Overview

-Meet up at the front of Family Mart in Tenma-bashi Station! After that, we will visit one of the oldest temple to see the beautiful five story pagoda. Finally we are heading to the beautiful Osaka Castle, and cycle around its premises. Osaka Castle is located in the middle of a very large park known as Osaka Castle Park. It's approximately 105 hectares big!! -Tired from all the biking? Let's satisfy our hunger with a good old Okonomiyaki break We'll take a break to taste Osaka's soul food: Okonomiyaki. After you've enjoyed indulging Okonomiyaki, we'll also take for a tea break and you can enjoy Japanese Green Tea with a little snack.     Stop by to learn how to worship at the shrine. Osaka Tenmangu is a Shinto shrine located in Tenjinbashi, Kita-ku, Osaka City. It is also known by the names Tenma Tenjin, Naniwa Sugamo, and Nakajima Tenmangu. It is affectionately called “Tenma no Tenjin-san” by the citizens of Osaka. The Tenjin Festival, held every year from July 24th to 25th, is known as one of Japan's three great festivals and Osaka's three great summer festivals.

  • Osaka Castle

    Visit Osaka Castle with cycling and learn its culture from a local guide Osaka Castle has a long history, with its origins in the Osaka Honganji Temple (Ishiyama Honganji) of the Warring States period, the Ishiyama Battle fought against Oda Nobunaga, the construction of the castle by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, its fall during the Siege of Osaka, reconstruction by the Tokugawa shogunate, destruction by fire during the upheavals of the Meiji Restoration, and post-war park development, it has always been closely connected with Japanese history and has continued to the present day. The stone walls, moats, Otemon Gate, Tamon Yagura, Sengan Yagura and other ancient buildings that can be seen today are all from the Tokugawa period onwards, and the area has been designated as a Special Historic Site by the national government, with most of the ancient buildings being designated as Important Cultural Properties.

The weather, views, and guide were perfect! Nobu, our guide, was very knowledgeable and guided us to the best spots in Osaka. We got to skip the long line for the castle and go straight up. Learning about the history along the way. 10/10 would recommend.

Wonderful Trip in Osake with Take

This trip was one of the highlights of our holiday in Japan. Our guide Take was super friendly, easy to understand and happy to answer and questions or share his local knowledge. We saw and experienced far more than we would have done on our own. No problems with the bikes and the route was quite easy so nobody had any problems keeping up. Also, the venues for lunch and afternoon tea were spot on. Highly recommended.

Our tour guide Tea gave us an awesome tour around Osaka. We went to visit a shrine, a museum, then biked around Osaka castle. The lunch at the end of the tour was great. Tea was very friendly and informative. He offered to take photos of us at all the nice scenic spots which turned out great. Thanks, Tea!
