Overview

Kibera is the largest urban slum in Africa and the second largest in the world. The aim of the experience is to enable guests to learn the local community's daily life experiences. The income we generate from the booking helps a local school, Hope and Shine Kibera Centre, which hosts over 40 children. Tour highlights include: 1. Meeting at Greenhouse mall We meet and welcome all our guests at the Greenhouse mall, Ngong road. Here we brief all visitors on tour plan and expectations. 2. Toi market Toi market is the second largest open air market in Nairobi. See the different sections of the market and interact with traders. 3. Crafts Centre See how domestic animal bones are recycled to make jewelry with a mixture of brass. 4. Power women shop Meet women who educate the young girls on HIV/AIDS 5. Home visit. Experience life inside a slum house with a home visit to one of the guide's home. 6. School Experience how the tour makes an impact on education at Hope and Shine

This is really amazing tour, with the explanation of Lucas and guide, I can understand then history of kibera and how the people livestyle here, highly recommend to reach out Lucas understand more about the trip.

This tour was so wonderful! We had a great time with Lucas and Elijah. It was great to learn about the history of Kibera and to get to see different parts of it and the wonderful work they are doing. I'll definitely take others!

If you have time in Nairobi, you should defenitely take it to see the slums. It was really interesting to get a little insight of the life people are living here. Also to see where Elijah was born was just catching. We never fehlt unsere, they also waited for us till our Uber was there.
