I was a bit anxious to book a safari tour via email, especially with a down payment, but the great reviews convinced me. Jocky Tours was fast to reply and answered all my questions. On the day of the tour I was greeted (punctually) by a friendly driver who brought me to their office for payment after which we proceeded to the safari vehicle. Our guide was Kikitu and we set off in group to Masaai Mara. I had booked the 5 day budget safari and it far exceeded my expectations. This was mostly due to our excellent guide Kikitu who made sure we were entertained and had an amazing trip! When our first day did not go fully as planned due to unforeseen circumstances (road blocked) he made sure we were fed (as we were not able to reach our lunch spot) and when we did reach our destination he made sure we still had a wonderful evening. The rest of the week he gave us a premium experience with humor, interesting knowledge, making sure we saw the Big Five and a big smile. Personally I did have high expectations for the accommodations as this was a budget tour but we had three meals a day, very decent accommodations and we definitely got value for our money. The meals were buffet with similar options yet enough variation to keep you satisfied. The car was cleaned daily with a box stocked with water. I always felt safe during our drives even though the roads were bumpy (especially towards Masaai Mara), our guide was definitely an experienced driver. The only “negative” I have to note is that we had one day solely dedicated to a long drive, but then again it was also a welcome rest as we woke up early most days and we had a very active and long day the day before.

My boyfriend and I booked a 5 day group safari via Jocky Tours. We had the best time and Jocky Tours ensured that we were well looked after from the initial pick up to the final drop off. We were assigned Francis as our guide, who was very knowledgable and went to great lengths to get us the best view of all the animals. He was happy to answer all of our questions and clearly knew the parks really well. Overall we had an amazing time and I couldn’t recommend the experience and Jocky Tours enough!

Dennis had a wealth of knowledge and experience which meant we saw a lot of animals, accommodations were well situated and friendly. Food was great wide range. Definitely would recommend. Dennis was just fabulous. 10/10

We chose to do a 7-day safari with Jocky Tours because they proved to be efficient and attentive to every detail from the very first email exchanges. Upon our arrival in Nairobi, we were met by Joshua, who turned out to be a tireless and reliable driver, a perfect organizer, and an expert guide with extensive knowledge of nature and wildlife. The tour was magnificent and exceeded all expectations, with two days at Masai Mara Park, one at Lake Nakuru, one at Lake Naivasha, and two days in Amboseli. The hotels, tented camps, picnics, breakfasts, and dinners were all exactly as planned. The large Land Rover jeep was comfortable and sturdy for seven people plus Joshua. Jocky Tours’ organization was excellent, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking to experience this wonderful journey into the authentic African wilderness.
