    The travel time is 1.5 hours from Osaka to Himeji Castle. Arrive at Himeji Castle, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Japan's most famous and impressive castles. Spend some time exploring the castle's many towers, gates, and defensive features.

  • Koko-en

    Visit Kokoen Garden, a beautiful traditional Japanese garden with several different styles of Japanese landscaping. Also you may enjoy lunch viewing the Japanese Garden (Lunch fee not included). The travel time is 20 min from Koko-en to Engyoji temple.

  • Engyo-ji Temple Maniden

    Take a short drive to Engyo-ji Temple, a mountain-top temple complex with stunning views of the surrounding area. The travel time is 1.5 hours from Engyo-ji Temple to Osaka

Great experience

Himeji castle is amazing and so is the garden, we didn't feel well so we skipped Engyo Ji, but the rest was amazing, and our guide Fujii, was delightful, cheerful and made us have a great time.

Our guide was fantastic and the tour was fun and educational. The guide was flexible with what we wanted to do. We spent more time at the castle and then had takoyaki from a street vendor for lunch because that was on my daughter’s list of things to do.

This trip was fantastic. Himeji Castle is every bit as beautiful as it looks like in the pictures and it is significantly less crowded than both Osaka Castle and the major sites in Kyoto. The private driver made the trip very easy and enjoyable. The gardens by Himeji Castle are truly stunning and Engyo-Ji is serenely peaceful. My daughters (12 and 14 years old) loved every minute of it. Our guide was knowledgeable, kind, and very flexible in her willingness to take us to the sites we wanted to see. Thank you!
