  • Peneda-Geres National Park

    Our target is more than a simple tour in Gerês! We pick you up at your accommodation, and your escape to routine start! Enjoy the fascinating landscape of the National Park Peneda-Gerês, that connects the Spain and Portuguese borders, located in the northeast of Portugal. Beautiful waterfalls, postcard viewpoints, mountain peaks – the full nature package is waiting for you. Our local guide will take you on a small hiking trip, explaining the countryside and the nature heritage of the Park. If you are lucky you can see wild horses, a ibex or a deer on the track. After the lunch break you will have some free time to visit the village and explore people and culture on your way. Enjoy the afternoon at a lagoon, where you can dive into crystal clear water if you feel up to. Open your heart and clean your mind, and be prepared to absorb all the sounds, smells and natural beauty. Get ready for a breathtaking experience.

Bruno was great and was the only tour responsive super late, last minute, the night before we wanted to go (I think we also got lucky that someone else cancelled). Bruno was super nice, friendly, spoke great English and was incredibly knowledgeable about the park, and really ALL of northern Portugal. He was happy to cater to our interests and took us too an incredibly beautiful swimming hole in the mountains. The hike up was not easy, but definitely worth it if you are physically capable. I felt safe the whole time.

Our national park tour with Bruno was the highlight of our trip to Portugal! He was an excellent guide, making the experience both fun and informative. We enjoyed stunning views throughout, and the tour offered a perfect balance of hiking and sightseeing. Bruno’s enthusiasm and knowledge added so much to the trip. Amazing and beautiful experience in Geres!

Really great time exploring Geres national park with Ricardo! He took us around to some great views and beautiful crystal clear water. Lunch was at a small local restaurant and one of the best on our trip! I 100% recommend this trip! Remember to bring good hiking shoes (I wore my trail running shoes, which worked well). And if you want to swim, a swimsuit and towel (I forgot a towel - Ricardo bailed me out there and had one!)

Mountain Exploration Day Trip

My partner and I booked a tour to Geres with Trek Portugal, Bruno was our guide. He shared lots of fun history of the natural area and the wolves. We talked about the land and the trees as we hiked up to the overlook, then Bruno led us back into the hills to a pristine swimming hole for a swim and a picnic. On the way back we saw the wild horses in the meadow and got some more history of the local villages and the wolves. It was a great time and I would book again with these guys.

My wife and three kids had a terrific experience exploring the national park with Bruno as our guide. Bruno provided great insight on the area and broader region/country and blended in seamlessly with our family. The amazing swimming holes helped everyone cool off from the hot summer temperatures and were definitely the highlight. Overall, great trip and guide!
